Met him a few years ago. He was a bit of a twat. He brought a cushion for him to sit on during lunch.

He's what I imagine BBF would sound like in person if you substituted an Oyrish accent for a Yarkshe one.

He probably is. I was going to OT for a day at the test many years ago. Our local in manc opened up early and we were half pissed when we got on the tram. Boycott was on it wearing his soft-arse fedora. I shouted "Watch your wallets lads, there's a Yorkshireman on the tram.". Everyone laughed except Boycott, the horrible twat.

Oh yeah, the bloke is a ****er.

Delighted that Cook now has more test centuries and that Pietersen will soon be joining him.

He won't be able to carry on kidding himself he's England greatest ever then.

    Four down!

Agreed.. I only remember seeing him on the tv playing in the early 80's but didn't like it understand the game back then. How he can be England's greatest batsmen is beyond me.. All you hear was him scoring one run per hour.. The cricketing like for like of parking the bus.

Just because he accumulated runs doesn't make him the best.. I rember enjoying watching gower, gooch.. Used to like Thorpe in the 90's thought he was quality..

Can't agree with you there. Cook has great application and temperament. More like a Gooch. Gower was something else.

Yeah, great hat-trick from Downing, he's really starting to hit some form! Shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet though..
