You misunderstand my post Eric. I wasn't defending anyone. If you rise to drivel, they will continue to post. It's as simple as that. I don't respond to, or interact with the posters to which you refer. And yes, I did read through all of it, sadly.

You can't have it both ways lads. Our team is thread bare & just beginning under this manager. If he or we came out & started saying 4th or above this year you lot would throw around the highly unoriginal deluded. The fact that our owners did it last year cost us a manager.

So BR had stated anything better than last year is going to be great (ok he's a little over enthusiastic with the word "fantastic", but we all know he lays the vocabulary on thick,) in the same interview he talks like any sane person knows about it taking a couple of transfer windows to get the squad he wants with the funds he'll be getting.

I was there for the 'good times' as well as what we've experienced over the last 20 years. I always tried not to make a meal out of it. Some of my best mates were/are Everton and united supporters.

 

At least this International 'break' is only a midweek game, so it doesn't interfere with the PL programme next weekend.

 

Only a complete imbecile or a Manchester United fan with an axe to grind would believe that Brendan Rodgers made such a statement. I don't believe it for one second. However I believe he said this, which is more accurate.
Brendan Rodgers:

Okay this is actually stating the obvious. However to key to problem solving is identifying a problem early and solving it. Thats unless you are a buffoon that is missing 3 centre-backs through injury and signs a striker, or the same buffoon that needs a holding midfielder and signs a winger when he already has 4.

 

Good lad, shame the same can't be said for a portion of your fanbase. Who were every bit as bad, back in the day, as a portion of Uniteds, are now, which was was my point.

As for a 'buffoon' signing a striker when he had injured CB's, is that 'buffoon's" side currently sat at the top of the PL by any chance???

How about having 1 striker & loaning a £35M one out, or desperately needing a proven goal scorer & buying a kid who was rejected by Chelsea & have never scored a PL goal for £11M.
