We're a one man team. Hernandez was the one man this weekend.

 

There was a thread on the LFC board a few months back asking if Hernandez became available would they take him.

For the majority the answer was no

After all , what would Liverpool need a goal scorer for ?

 

Hernandez is exactly what we need. Looks to get in behind the defense, pretty quick, and always looking to get into goal scoring positions.

Edit: Obviously not hernandez, not going to happen, but someone of similar ilk.

 

You already have Borini

 

He COULD be that player but he is always being played out wide so we won't know until he gets a good run of games through the middle and can make those runs wide, through the middle, play off the last attacker, etc.

Benteke looked pretty solid today as well. Smalling got a welcome back present from him!

Why do you think BR hasn't given Borini a run through the middle and moved Suarez to a wider position of the front 3 ? seems very odd as it must have been destroying his confidence when he was fit.

Did Borini not play wide when he was at Roma aswell ?

 

Was furious when smalling got shoved over, fair enough if you get out muscled but he started to roll around instead of trying to get back into the game.

 

He played Borini there a couple of times but he didn't exactly grab either chance with both hands (missed a couple of sitters too) but he needs time to settle. Unfortunate, he got injured shortly afterwards too.
