Its funny that Sweats keeps mentioning Slevin suffering at the hand of a priest because Edenderry infact has a history of child abusing priests.

I hope they got the bastard Slevin, or is it bastards?

I loathe Rooney and the club certainly were played by his agent but in the modern game the top players hold too much of the power. Had we let Rooney go there's no way we would have won the league that season which was arguably worth the extra money invested in is new contract. I don't think comparisons with Torres are accurate either as there was no changing Torres' mind, regardless of how much money was on offer, he wanted to go to a club that could challenge for major honours.

A quote that shows all that is wrong with football and the modern day fan, you have mentioned that you have coached kids? You shouldn't be allowed with that attitude.

Would agree with you that the way Rooney and his agent behaved was shocking and i for one certaintly wont forget it and i doubt others will as well.

Footballers have too much power and contracts now a days are nothing because when a player wants to leave, the club would sell the player regardless of how long is left on a contract. About time clubs start acting tough when players want to move and they need to remind the players that they never forced them to sign the contract.

"Chicharito" Hernandez yesterday highlights the goal scored by another young man as Omar Esparza, in a win over Tigers: "I liked the goal of the Negrito (Omar Esparza), I think it's a sign that Chivas youth, we are ready to respond in big games such as playoffs. For my part I will continue working with humility to earn a chance.

It's like they just don't understand the difference between 'team mates' and 'opponents'.

Next they'll be arguing Evra should've been sent off for tripping Rio in the match last season...after all, what you do or say about a team mate is apparently exactly the same as what you do or say about an opponent <whistle>

    <laugh> too easy!

So if RVP was clean through on goal and Rooney tripped him up then Rooney would be sent off?

If Suarez took a shot that was hurtling towards the goal (hypothetical scenario of course ;)) and Borini handled it on the line then Borini would be sent off?

    Good argument <ok>

Is a red card for tripping someone when through on goal violent conduct though? I thought it was classed as a 'professional foul' ?
