    Accepted and offered him a bet on Liverpool not making the top four. Safer than banks <ok>

    Makes you wonder what the owners are thinking. A good striker could make the difference between a shout of top four and having absolutely no chance. There's a £40 million prize at stake, they've said their goal is to finish in the top four and they won't put up £7 million?

    Maybe you were better off with the last pair of Yanks...at least they spent some money before they realised they didn't have any left...
