No, I got the point. My point was that if FSG fire Rodgers for failing to get fourth in his first full season then SAF will have outlasted yet another LFC manager.

Also, not entirely sure you can knock someone off their perch by outliving them. Does that mean SAF is definitively the best out of Busby, Shankly and Paisley by being the only one left alive?

Maybe, but then the fingers still got pointed at clubs like Chelsea and City for their spending and people claimed their trophies were tainted. I don't think their fans or owners will care tbh as long as they are still winning. If UEFA don't follow through with FFP then no one will give a monkey's about whether teams are complying or not.

 

He hasn't retired yet...so there is still plenty of time.

That was something out of the fans who were making the predictions control though.

Its like lambasting someone for saying Duncan Edwards would go on to be Englands best ever player just before the tragedy in Munich.

 

Realistically Rogers' mandate is not to simply qualify for Champions League this season, it is to implement his philosophy and identify what positions need to be addressed to fit his ideology. Not even the most advid FM2012 manager could do that prior to next season, he has to be able to identify which players he can trust, which players are good enough technically and who's got the stomach ofr the fight ! That could take the course of the season.

I dont expect to see many whole sale changes in the off season for this resaon. Maybe a front man or 2 of his choice, nothing to rock the boat but to replace the elder statesmen of the team that look like moving on.

I for one am looking forward to next season and finally a new dawn, all this talk of Rafa & Kenny...we needed to think outside the box & look to the future with the new manager, and FSG have delivered there.

I suppose I was trying to say that because of H&G we will never know just how good Rafa could have been in developing a side.

 

Looking at Rooney in the middle, his hair transplant outcome does not seem to be going to plan. Can see quite a big patch in the middle.

 

Someone had it done on my FB. Rooney had it done during the process of losing his hair, so what hair was yet to fall out will fall out anyway. You're supposed to wait till the balding process has finished to get the best results. Looks like he may have to go back to the clinic.
