I keep hearing that from Liverpool fans, as if England are actually expected to well at the Euros

 

Have you not watch England at all over the past 10 years? We're always ****ing boring.

 

You must have very very low expectations in regards to excitement. England are one of the most tediously boring and mind numblingly dull teams on Earth.

 

In that case we'll have to put every other England Manager during my life time into the same category.

England are expected to be **** so why would we think Hodgson is a mug if England do as badly as expected?

 

So basically the same as EVERY other England Manager.

It would be ****ing miricale if England were anything other than **** and boring at the Euros. Even if Sir Alex was in charged and had Wenger and Mourinho as assists England would still do ****e for ****s sake.

 

Ferguson has already failed at international level,so stick to Mourhino and Wenger Berbs.

He had a better squad than England have now Berbs,google it.

 

Is that why they only finished 2nd in their qualifying group under his predecessor and had to qualify for the World Cup through a playoff? (which they won under Sir Alex).

Maybe Kenny never felt like paying £50k for a knighthood.

 

Scotland clearly weren't that good if they couldn't even finish top of their qualifying group............

They did win their playoff under Sir Alex though.

 

he had Black,McCleish,Strachen,Dalglish,Hansen,Souness,Jordan,McQueen etc etc,all top players at the time,yet he failed miserably to motivate them for an international tournament.

 

If they were a good team why didn't they win their qualifying group under Jock stein, who himself is considered to be one of the greatest Managers of all time?

 

Because the late great Jock Stein died at Ninian Park during a Wales v Scotland game Berbs,thats the reason the SFA brought Ferguson in,who at the time was flavour of the month in Scotland.

 

How is that the reason for Scotland not winning their qualifying group? He died after their final group match so it's not as if it disrupted their qualifying campaign. In fact, it's more likely to have affected the players in the playoff and World Cup shortly after Jock Stein's death.

 

So hang on Berbs,Big Jock dies,Fergie takes over and you praise him for the playoff win.

Are you suggesting that Big Jock deserves no credit for leaving Fergie in a position that he 'could' qualify?
