    That is unacceptable for this thread <grr>

    Not sure about the Liverpool board but the United board has been pretty quiet today so some users seem to be in hibernation.

    It should pick up tomorrow with both United and Liverpool playing.

    Not been on here for a while so thought I'd say hello to the Mancs. I don't see City getting the title this year but really think you lot will need to spend big time if you are to stop them dominating. If they get a good manager in place then they may well win the league.

    Even if Spuds finish 6th spot they'll still get an EL spot cos Chelsea and Liverpool are already guaranteed at least EL due to the CC and FAC. Only way Spuds could miss out would be if they somehow managed to end up behind Everton.

    I think City's future success will depend on how much their owners are willing to test the FFP rules. City aren't as big as Barca or Real so they can't afford to flaunt the rules too much as UEFA will definitely be tempted to make an example of them. And with Balotelli and Dzeko likely to leave at a loss this year then they won't have that much to invest in improving their squad next year given they'll need to show they are cutting their losses.

    They could try and get Mourinho, but he needs a big transfer budget to succeed so I'm not sure if that would really fix the problem given how much he would piss UEFA off!
