afternoon ladies

any one see cardiff's goal last night? this fella scored from inside his own half very similar to Beckham's, butthey say it was a good 15 yards further away from the goal, he belted it too was a quicker reaction than beckham's, if you remember he actually took a run up with the ball and looked like he teed up & placed the shot.

Ya Luton town and Newcastle. With Luton town though, this happened as well.....

Alonso's goals marked a stroke of luck for a Liverpool fan who won £25,000 from a £200 bet on Alonso scoring from within his own half

Wasn't the Luton Town one when the keeper had come up for a corner and was trying to run back? Did Alonso dribble past the keeper near the halfway line before scoring? Properly embarrassing one for the 'keeper!

The Hudson one is awesome, and was a good 15 yards longer than Beckham's, tho I think he was helped a bit by the keeper falling over his own feet whilst back pedalling. I reckon if the Derby keeper had turned and run back towards the goal like Sullivan in 96 he would probably have saved it.

Looks like Berb who did the writing in the vid <laugh>

But the goals are on there plus one with Becks in MLS.

For the keeper howler, well, the keeper was caught out and got caught, slipped etc. Just like the keeper was caught out on Becks goal, both times they were out a bit too far.

    quality!

have to admit in my mind beckham was further back.

but have to say the cardiff was better ...on the strength of the distance and the speed in which he reacted

Liverpool plan to get one over the FA by refusing to enter the Europa league.

    Genius stuff.

Lol on the rage on that vid <laugh>

Tho tbh I do agree with him about Beckham's goal vs Wimbledon. Both Alonso's vs Newcastle and Hudson's for Cardiff relied on the keeper making a hash of what should've been a routine save if they'd just turned and run rather than trying to backpedal. But Beckham's dropped right under the bar, and even with Sullivan staying on his feet and turning to run back he couldn't reach it.

Btw, anyone else laughing at Drogba vs Busquets? It's like a competition of who can throw themselves to the ground the most theatrically <laugh>

Figueroa's beats all of them. Top corner, dead ball, 5 yards behind the halfway line.

Please don't say 'oh, well Beckham's was better because it's harder to hit a moving ball,' because it wasn't.

    I concur <ok>

Figueroa's was also better imo cos he drives it rather than flighting it like Beckham did. So the keeper had absolutely no chance.

    <laugh>

And how ironic that the last minute chance for Barca fell to Busquets and he blazed it over the bar. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving **** <ok>
