It's a testimonial to a great player, it's footy, I'm watching it. Since this is on both boards, wondering others thoughts on the game, unless I was mistaken and this is only Liverpool's thread. Also a chance to see a makeshift New York cosmos team, but the cosmos nonetheless. They have massive history here, another reason I am watching.
Hull city was bad I will admit, Gala too but that was with all the deadwood we wanted to be rid of. They looked ****
I thought the testimonial was for Paul Scholes. When is the testimonial for the great player on?, actually who is the great player?
I know you hate United, all of us do, but sometimes you have to put that to aside. Scholes was fantastic for them and is a great player. I think I will trust when Zizou says you are good, you are good. I would expect the mancs to do the same with Gerrard when he is done, probably can;t stand him, but know what a player he was.
and again a chance to see the cosmos, who for a while in the 70's actually sold out more stadiums than NFL, MLB, NBA teams as to how big they were. Only idiots at the top stopped the game from growing like it should have back then. The NASL almost did it, almost got America hooked but those with at the top fooked it.
4-0, stomping. Viera is on, just need Keane to come out of the stands and have a row for old time sake. Mcbride is on, US legend.
On the Martin Keown thought, back when Arsenal had that bite to their game as well, still missing, more worried about cesc and nasri than just going out and gettin players they need.
Arsenal need to grow a pair, they were better when they were nasty. I reckon Arsenals sending off rate has dropped big time bar the odd clumsy challenge by Squillachi or a howler by the awful eboue.
btw, Macheda looks like an extra from jersey shore. Ya they were awesome back in the day, I liked wiltord as well. Lauren was no slouch either.
6-0, guess you can't really expect defending when your coach is cantona, even if it is a makeshift side.
Can't read much into a game against a scratch side but nice to see Utd finishing strongly with a young side. Welbeck certainly looks ready to take his place in the squad.
