I only got involved as no one famous was just explaining why some find it offensive only to have it thrown in his face as talking bollocks.. Which he wasn't.

    Small minded individuals..

Oh an baz the Milf is here.. I type this while pumping out the effects of a doner kebab out of my arse..

This thread has really took a turn for the worst.

Think it's time people accept "manure" is an offensive term to United fans and move on.

I think a couple of users need to take a break away from the site after what has happened over the past few days.

    well put sammy

how did this thread deteriate from support for liverpool fans against the moronic goings-on from the GC? I thought this thread had built bridges?

for the record "man u" "manure" HAVE been used as offence for many decades, though this has waned in recent times, ironically since the Hillsborough tradegy and the later formation of the PL. Today; as I have all ready stressed it is a lazy term for Manchester United used by all types who in most cases know not of it's initial intent to offend.

I know of this not through trawling the bobbins in books or the internet, but through the what a 50 year lifelong old United fan has endured. I have scores of personal events from Liverpool(mainly scousers) and other teams fans that have caused me offence/harm, and witnessed further more, but as a middled aged man I hold no grudge, there are far worse things in the world that grieve me.

Man U/ Manure don't offend me they're just throw away words, but I did find the GC's comments about your club fans offensive, and offered support for you, and have recently gone to the "Justice for the 96" gig tour, with my support for their cause.

Opinions/ feelings / interpretation/ emotions etc are all subjective, a person might not agree with another's take/stance on something, but if they desire repect for their point of view then they should reflect respect too. and not dismiss it as "bollocks" on the grounds of they don't see it, you may not see it but the other person feels it or has experienced it.

I agree with 99% of what you say and have actually felt, well, sort of humbled by the general united fans defence and response to the sickos in the GC crowd. I know that both words have been used in offensive terms at times and I think the only reason no one famous (and then others) was dismissed was his general attitude and the refusal to discuss it in a sensible manner.

It has been a strange time over the las couple of days (again) and I think a lot of people are still in fight or flight at the moment, hopefully a few FA cup games and 3 points for wolves will see things return to normal.

You'd have to ask a mod I think mate. Ridiculous whoever did them, If I had to guess I would say a bitter Man Utd fan or someone from the GC.
