Too many part-time ****s in the Cheese wearing Christmas jumpers and kissing people they don't know. ****ers
I'm not a fan of the modern sill traditions like Christmas jumpers but I do like chill out and relax once Christmas Day is done.
I used to be banged up at Christmas when I was married. 2.00 pm on crimbo eve was the cut off point. I had to be home then and wasn't allowed out of the house AT ALL until the day after Boxing Day. That was even before we had the girls. Even if I ran out of fags Now, it's the pub from 12 till 4 and then back for din-dins, a snooze, more ale and then back to the pub if I can be bothered. Only down-side is not seeing the girls over that period of time and the part-time ****ers in the pub.
Sounds like you need a new Christmas routine. The in laws come to us every other year but that's fine they're ok. Only crap part for us is the kids thinking we're a taxi so I've decided we're off to the pub more this year.
I can already feel my xmas period bad mood coming on, mrs has gone out cos ive been a bit of a **** for days now, cant shake it off tbh just the time of year always the same.
Because I'm a Christian it will always be a special day for me. That said, my thoughts and feelings around the time of year change all the time. I lost my Mum just before Christmas so my excited expectations changed from that moment. We kept it jolly for our boys, once they grew and moved out we ditched the Christmas tree and got a pop up one. Then two years ago our granddaughter was born a few days before Christmas and 3 months early weighing 2lbs. So now my feelings about Christmas have taken another turn.
