Agreed, however I'd have given Massa 10/10 as well, it looked like he had the pace to get past Alonso and maybe even challange Webber for second...
It was mentioned pre-race that van der Garde has been driving FP1 instead of Kovalainen/Petrov recently. Apparently Caterham are doing this to get van der Garde up to speed with the car, so he can use the young drivers test as a more effective test session. Heikki however disagrees with this policy, and reckons having the two main drives in the car at race weekends would be much more beneficial. In the rest of the interview, he seems frustrated by Caterham, and their inability to improve. As for next season, he's had talks with Caterham about next season, but no serious chats with any other teams. So it looks like he's either staying with Caterham or leaving the sport.
It sounds to me he wants to leave but there are no other options. Glock has also dug out his own grave in the same way.
The difference being that Glock committed to a longer term contract a while ago, whilst Kovalainen hasn't, and has seemed keen to move. Whilst I think he's wasted in Caterham, there's just no realistic seats left. He said he's only recently entered into negotiations with Caterham, which seems to me that he's come to the same conclusion. I think he'll be angling for a performance related contract. Where if the team aren't producing a good enough car for them to make real progress year-on-year, that he can walk away. (So a single point by the end of 2013, etc).
EMSC: reading this suggests you've not had to watch NBC's coverage of major sporting events in the USA. â I make regular trips across the pond and most people I've spoken to believe what they presently have for F1 is better! [Edit: completely unrelated to what I've just said, I've noticed a coincidence: you and I have made exactly the same number of posts (3590) in this forum!]
Hot against the cold Cosi. Mates when we are not on Schumi, enemies when we are. Long last our debating on here mate.
A long way off the other padders on this forum. These 2 are on the bottom of page 7 of the All time posters
My humour doesn't translate well into the written word on a Internet forum.. Sorry.. Was only joking, thoroughly enjoy both of their contributions to NOT 606 F1, even yours... sometimes
