I beleive Van der Garde is very well backed. he is also a decent driver so maybe another Maldo?

Surprisingly the RB8 looks to have had the stiffest wing out of McLaren and Ferrari. They have been using it at the very start and this picture gives strong evidence that this was the reason for their advantage for the early part of the season. Hungary must of been an updated and more aggressive version and the main reason for their new found dominance and then RBR copied it which alerted Ferrari to **** bricks possibly.

My only problem with this front wing by McLaren is the lack of dedication by the FIA to look at all possible advantages rather than solely focusing on RBR and Mercedes "grey areas".

They have completely dropped the ball this season with regard to not seeing this rotary wing sooner as they have almost used it for a whole season and nothing was said before, though pictures in the past (Pre testing + Australia on wards) show something was being exploited considering their incredible pace and it was always staring them in the face and the media "experts" should of jumped at the chance of opening a can of worms like this. I'm sorry but the FIA/Stewards have been completely incompetent with this McLaren wing as now they have "discovered it" they are now clamping down on it and pretty much handing them an advantage for over 7 months...

Maybe if the FIA didn't have it's head shoved up RBR's blown diffuser they might of saved a lot of trouble rather than the bollocks we are getting now.

Great thinking by McLaren but it should of been investigated and sorted out months ago! RBR's reputation playing into McLaren's hands.

Still has to happen first though, so I'll wait until qualifying before making that bold claim.

Since he was saying at Singapore that he was "coasting" then by that logic he still has the fastest car since Seb was pushing like crazy to still keep up on the first stint.

Oh yeah, and Whitmarsh was right - all teams have passed the new front wing tests. So no problems at #McLaren, or anywhere else! #F1 #F1Buzz

Quite possibly. He's older than I thought he was, already 27 (same age as Maldo, Kova is 30, Petrov 28). Just looking into Van der Garde's sponsors, he's got the biggest Dutch demolition company, an international bank transfer company and an american fashion label behind him, who sound like reasonable sponsors.

The only people who've, IMO, got off lightly with a dodgy front-wing, were Mercedes. Can't say I'm not surprised you havn't complained. (oh how I love a treble negative)

How dare you miggins, I've always posted in a non biased manner <whistle>

The stewards deemed it legal 2-3 times and really it has shot them in the foot as it ****ed up their balance.

I feel this is Hamilton's race to lose. Kimi has the DDRS this weekend so I am hoping he can somehow get that elusive win. I do, however, feel that ship has sailed. For this season anyway.

Apparently this race the Sauber will be running without inlets on their front brakes this weekend.
