You can't keep blaming Evans. MM has obviously asked to sign Green (if the press are to be believed) NOT Evans signing him, so MM thinks that Green is good enough for our squad. What baffles me, and i think others too (from what i see here) is surely there are better players out there who are available..surely it makes viable sense to look at younger players from the lower divisions, who could a) improve with age, and b) who could be a future asset to the club (financialy). From what i have seen and heard of him, he will be our worst midfielder, therefore if everyone is fit, won't even play - so, if thats the case, why sign him? Surely it would be more beneficial if we started to put some of our youngsters on the bench (eg, Lawrence).
Stretchy Warky can and will keep blaming ME, he sees no wrong in MM at all and never will as he can never be wrong about anything!! Unlike me who backed Roy <hangsheadinshame>
Spanish I am pleased you have admitted your support for Keane was wrong. Could you at worst be indifferent to Mick and less negative!?
To be fair Mick does like alot of average players look at most of his signings, none of them are world beaters, if signed under the majority of our previous managers we'd be probably up in arms. Even though he signed some decent players at his previous clubs they were all grafters, this is the type of player he feels most comfortable with and tbf he does well with them. I sometimes think Mick could get a pub team getting results at this level but again it always leaves you thinking what if he actually tried to sign and work with more talented players......? As I've said in a previous thread, Green is not hugely inspiring signing (as neither are any of his others really) but I'm sure he'll do a job for us, I'd just prefer either that we blood our own players in this season (as we're not in a relegation battle) or at least sign a CM who will add something different to our midfield and isn't just another average joe!!
