Imagine having a captain that takes the piss of your fanbase and club. First he starts abusing Everton fans after they score a later winner then he says finishing in the top 10 is a massive achievement for a (tiny) club like Everton <laugh>

Thank god we aren't Everton and have such a great captain.

I wouldn't argue really mate, albeit I'd have to say that Spurs aren't anything like the same side minus Bale, so an injury to him & they'd struggle imo. Arsenal & Chelsea SHOULD have the squads to see us off, but that's not always how it works so we live in hope. Next Sunday's game at WHL is huge for us, win & we're right in the mix, lose & we're out of the race.

Everton have a good shout, they play the teams in and around them so it's arguably in their own hands. Stranger things have happened in football so it wouldn't surprise me. Spurs haven't looked as assured recently and I Chelsea have lost all good form so it's a big opportunity for either Everton or Arsenal.. Or potentially both with the game in hand on Spurs.

Can't see us finishing above evertin now, they do have a more difficult run in than us but will probably still pick up about the same number of points as us.

I have said In other threads on here Phil Neville should hang up his boots and that Gerrard Is much better than him<ok>

It's Just my opinion that for you to go forward (you probably have the money to do so) you need to buy a replacement as he can't do It over a season which was why you lot were ripping him to shreds up until 2 months ago now he's captain fantastic yet again...

Didn't say PN was better than him lol PN needs to drop a league IMO and we need to play Barclay who looks promising as we don't have a pot to piss In:steam:

think Evertons form will depend on injuries to key players.

certainly on form as the teams above them at the moment, and getting results when people are waiting for them to implode, which isn't happening any time soon for my liking lol

hope i am wrong, but see the table finishing as it is now, or Everton just sneaking 5th and us 6th maybe.

To be fair Steven Gerrard is irreplaceable on and off the pitch for us. He's far more than just a player, and with Carragher now retiring it's vital to get the most we possibly can out of Stevey. Also you need to bare in mind that before this season he was riddled with injuries which threatened his career, it's no coincidence that now he's had a long run of games he's getting back in to a very good run of form (10 league goals now and a good few assists to go with it). For us there will never be another Gerrard unfortunately, but if players like Giggs, Scholes and Pirlo are to go by, if he keeps up his fitness he still has a lot to offer.

I'd be happy to see Everton keep up their fantastic form and ability to avoid losing to get their usual score draw (can't keep a clean sheet away from home) in those games.

The other problem of course Is the amount of cash It would take to buy a better replacement..Didn't realise he had bad Injuries before season started tbh He has obviously got better as the season has gone on and the return of Lucas has helped for sure It's just a question of how long he can go on for..

Hoping Fellaini and Pienaar suspensiosn works out as a blessing In disguise tbh as Pienaar has looked a bit Jaded recently so a good rest for him and Fellaini

I think Pienaar Is still suspended against Spurs but Fellaini returns? Along with Jagielka and Howard returning we should be close to full strength for the run In which clearly we need tbh
I think If we can get something at Spurs we will be looking ok

Mirallas Is starting to look good for us so hopefully his glass hamstring problem has gone I think we can nick a win against the bigger boys away....There again lol

Just checked Fellaini Is out suspended against Spurs aswell oh fook lol still If we can get something at least they return for home game v QPR rested

Yeah, many of us have been saying that if Gerrard adapts his game for both us and England he can play that Pirlo role that he does for Italy (and that's praise indeed - Pirlo is one of the best midfielders of all time, imho). That'll need extra runners in midfield though to do the donkey work, such as Henderson who's naturally made for it, and Gerrard's going to have to stop trying to be everywhere and getting on the end of his 60-yard passes like he did when he was 24.

    What is this wizardry?

We will see if you're right in Sunday I guess. I don't know about any other blues but I can't say I'm that worried about Liverpool coming up behind us. As long as we keep doing what were doing then we will be ok. 9 points out of 9 in March, just a shame about the Wigan capitulation.

    It'll be interesting that's for sure :)

Are Liverpool on TV on Sunday or is it just then because of the grand national?
