No problem so I guess now that's settled we won't have to listen to you lot bleating about the past also eh? Not only that but my answer was saying we were hard done by like you were against West Brom
Closing the gap on you but when you look at the Arsenal and City games, should really be ahead of you and closer to Spurs. Ifs and buts and all that. So frustrating. Especially with our bogey team Wigan coming up.
We have both been pretty ****e at closing games out I think we have lost 19 points from winning positions this season now?
Our problem is falling apart after conceding a goal. Like what seemed to happen to you earlier going by the result. We concede one then everyone turns rubbish all of a sudden and they struggle to pass a football between each other. I mean when you look at our results the amount of goals we've conceded back to back in a relatively short time is ridiculous. Zenit 2-0 - conceded on 70 & 72 mins Arsenal 2-2 conceded on 64 & 67 mins Stoke 3-1 conceded on 5 & 12 mins Aston Villa 3-1 conceded 29 & 40 mins West Ham 3-2 conceded 36 & 43 mins Tottenham 2-1 conceded 7 & 16 mins Oldham 3-2 conceded 45 (injury time 1st half) & 48 (start of 2nd half) mins Udinese 3-2 70 & 72 mins You put yourself at a massive disadvantage if you keep conceding goals in quick succession. I suppose it boils down to us having an inexperienced team and the players not knowing how to manage a game properly yet and for example slowing the game down to stop the other team picking up momentum.
Complaining about 15 seconds more than the minimum added time is extreme even by Ferguson's standards.
Christ hadn't noticed that about you guy's tbh with us the goals conceded this season are shocking considering how our defence was In previous years I think that Moyes want's to bugger off when we don't come 4th and not win the cup tbh he seems to be looking for an excuse and I think It Is having an effect on the players we look proper ****e at the moment I'd be suprised If we finish top half as we are going with our run in...
The foul on Fellaini didn't look bad at first but the blood and replays showed it was genuine. But he still should have seen red for taking a swing at the Norwich player when he didn't get a free kick. Violent conduct is violent conduct and bleeding doesn't excuse it.
TBH that's just silly anti Everton comment never a red In a million years and your the only one that's mentioned It... Suarez's little Huth style stamp/step on the Swansea guy drew some comments do I think It was a red?....NO as I'm not greatly biased against Liverpool just because I'm a blue...
Well if you're going to be sensible... then yes it was exaggerated. But I am not anti-Everton, just anti you being above us, which shouldn't be the case by the end of the season but will probably take us at least 3 weeks given the fixtures.
The first team is experienced though! Reina, Johnson, Skrtel/Carragher, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Suarez and Downing are all 25+ years old. All six defensive players are included there too!
IMO theres 1 reason for this DROPPING TOO DEEP We have a terrible habit, of when we concede to mentally go for 10 minutes, and our subconcious response is too drop too deep, which makes the situation EVEN WORSE.Where if we our normally game and retained the ball, that would take the sting from the opposition. In a lot of those gmes you mention, the opponents have had 10/15 minutes spells where we havnt been able to get hold of the ball, even though normally we dominate possesion even against the best sides
Including 5 from those inbred yokels from Narrrfuck, 5 points thrown away in the last few minutes of games against the same side in the same manner (i.e. dropping off too deep) is inexcusable. We blew any outside chance we had of 4th yesterday & tbh I hope we now finish 7th, as I don't want us to play in the ****ty EL, as it ****s the season up (Sunday KO's, too many games etc) for a competition that nobody gives a **** about.
how can you not give a **** about a comp you have never won tb? European honour of any kind is something to be proud of and the only feckers who take the piss are normally clubs who haven't won the damn thing its all about the cl now days, another fecking comp they have not won either or likely to be good enough anyway., Europa is seen as a big thing in Europe esp if you want to attract players here. agree it does **** your season up in the league, but still an honour to be proud of.
Easy, it's a **** competition, that's been totally devalued by UEFA over the years. The first couple of times we were in it, it was a novelty, but it always felt like the uber poor relation of the 'real' European competition. The last time we were in it, I just saw it as a real pain in the arse. Sunday League KO's were a nightmare & I remember thinking then, I hope we don't end up in this thing again. I couldn't give a **** about how it's viewed in Spain & I disagree that it'd be any sort of carrot in terms of attracting quality players.
The big differance for us this season Is Jelavic has hit a big baron spell he's missed a ****full of sitters this season and the 2nd half of last season he was banging them away 1st touch finishes?? Nowadays he's so inneffective his name may aswell not be on the team sheet...Most offsides given against him this season aswell I believe..
Moyes seems to destroy strikers confidence. Johnson, Yakubu and now Jelavic. For the likes of Everton who have a tiny squad I'd agree with you, it his a hindrance, but its been invaluable for us this season in the sense that the likes of Henderson, Wisdom and Downing have been given game time and a chance to break through to the first team by playing well in it and it gives our youngsters a taste of first team football that isn't as physical as the premier league. And Liverpool play on Sunday on TV so much the Europa league doesn't really make a difference to the amount of games we play on a Saturday, IMO.
Probably reverting to what they used to do under Benitez, Hodgson & Dalglish (to a lesser extent) aren't they? That's why Rodgers needs time, to coach the bad habits out of our players.
