When Rooney makes it back. I would be interested to see this team fielded. Milner is dynamically lacking, he offers a little more solidity but I think he's a weak link. --------------------Hart------------------- Johnson----Lescott-------Terry-----Cole Young----Gerrard----Parker-----TheOx -----------------Rooney------------------ ----------------Wellbeck------------------
nodding off I don't mind - its the being nudged to stop snoring is annoying. anyway - time you were off to see to that new missus of yours?
Apart from the bad missed chance, Milner was very impressive today. I wouldn't drop him, even when Rooney is back.
england's movement is lacking, and sweden should be able to contain them, as they did ukraine until half time. there is no one in the middle of the pitch who will run in between the lines. rooney does that. young should do that, but for some reason he thinks he's playing as a striker.
Gone right off Alan Green on 5 live, last night. What a whingeing closet 'Pool supporter. No holds barred slamming of England and the approach. Verbal destruction of Roy as Manager - lots of callers rejecting his snide remarks. Roy speaks highly of you, too Al. Get over it and grow up Alan.
Between him Lawrenson and Hansen, it's a wonder suicide rates don't shoot up after a broadcast they've been involved in. Morose doesn't even begin to describe them
Yup he was always a great player, he just never suited Chelsea's overtly direct style of play. At AC Milan he was incredible. It makes me wonder how much of Torres bad form is merely down to playing in that team. Drogba is a battering ram and suited them but Torres needs through balls to run on to and balls to his feet in and around the box.
I think Torres still has a problem 'in his head' - he may well get back his gifts - sad to see such a terrific player go off.
I wonder what he could have done for us. In our earlier 2000s system, he would have scored in the 20s, but what about the later 2000s? Has our style changed again? Has it become more direct this season or is it a temporary fix so that Wenger could force results and allow us to qualified for Europe?
I think he would do well for us. Wenger is great at getting his strikers to perform. I think Wenger does intend to go back to being a little more direct. A bit more enphasis on athletiscm like the gold old days . (Counter attacking at pace) A walcott--rvp--podolski forward line is testament to that. If we sign another defensive midfileder (like M'Vila) that would be another sign he's moving away from the 'tika-taka' style of play and going back to his roots.
That's what it feels like, i just hope he does that. In fact, i would like to see a hybrid version of it. Change between systems if neccessary. Sometimes we get bogged down with "tika-taka", that we don't seem to be doing anything when going down. We have the players to go full fat counter-attack now. Back to the good old days i say too
I was glad to see the referee wasn't intimidated by the Anglo-Saxons and their cheating last night.Every time a French player was anywhere near them the dirty cheating Anglo-Saxons were diving to the floor
I hate diving and simulation. The players are such girls - I liked the way the referee dealt with the play acting, waved players to get their bitch asses up !! Good stuff.
