WOw, who had Balotelli down for the JT award? He is starting to look like he will deserve it. Missed a 1 on 1 chance, and now subbed off! Gotta laugh.

Italy lead. Got to love Di Natale. Also brilliant assist from Pirlo.

Llorente deserves a start in the next two games imo.

It would appear that the death of Italian national team has been greatly exagerrated

Yeah I predicted balotelli would do that. He's Insaine.

    Massive potential but mentally unstable.

england france game, was about to post this until thread was closed.

koscielny and walcott should be starting, but the managers are both fools.
koscielny is better than both mexes and rami, yet blanc will most likely put him on the bench.
walcott is much more useful than either downing or milner. i would play milner on the left with walcott on the right. people saying that downing is starting due to his more defensive mindset have obviously never seen walcott play. with theo on the right, evra would make far less runs forward simply in fear of walcott's pace, and because of his pace theo also gets back quickly to defend.

if wilshere was fit he would also start for england.

I don't rate Mexes any higher than Squillaci, how the hell he is playing at a top club is beyond me. Koscielny should be disgusted to be behind him in the pecking order.

Mexes is a mystery. I swear I think the Italian clubs value physical "looks" just as much as quality of the players. There's plenty other examples in Serie A throughout the years like that.

Why the **** is Roy going to start with Downing? The guy is utter rubbish and does nothing. People say he provides defensive cover, but if we really want to go down that route, then why not just play Baines in front of Cole? He provides the defensive side of the game and has shown that he can attack better than Downing. Also decent from set pieces.

He isn't, Oxo is starting. Better move tbh, downing has been tripe this season

Yep just seen that now. Everyone was saying that Downing was going to start yesterday. Roy has shown some attacking intent by starting Ox and he showed last season that big games does not really affect him. Two of his outstanding performances was against Manchester United and AC Milan.

Let's hope he plays well tonight then - looks a good player at the moment who has bags of potential

Koscielny should easiliy be starting alongside Rami for France, but him being on the bench gives England a better chance.

The French did the same mistake with an Arsenal player in 2008 when they played Willy Sagnol, top player in his days but was way past his best by then, ahead of Sagna who had a great season for Arsenal and was also the best right back in the league.

Glad that the Ox is starting for England, at least something to watch out for in the England team.

    Most likely England line-up:

Hart; Johnson Terry Lescott Cole; Milner Gerrard Parker Oxlade-Chamberlain; Young Welbeck

Milner is a good choice to double up on Ribery, it is important to cut him out of the game.

Is it me or is the front line of OXO, Wellbeck and Young quite tasty? They all have good technical skill, have pace and are exciting to watch. It's just a shame we don't have a Scholes playmaker in the team...well Wilshere would be if he wasn't bloomin injured for eons! Parker and Milner doesn't inspire excitment does it. Even Gerrard's had better days. I hope they prove me wrong today....

The frontline looks great, call me insane but I think Carroll would have been a better choice for Mexes and Rami and today. Those two will struggle with physical players like him.

I'm well pleased that Ox Chamberlain is given a chance! Pace, power bags of potential and I don't think he will be faised by all the hype.
Come on England! I HOPE he plays up front and not wide left, but Gunners fans will know his best postion better than me? I would play him upfront with Welbeck and play Young out wide.
