I get the feeling that decisions that would easily be called for English players are instantly rejected based on Suarez's reputation. The ref doesn't even consider it, or look at his linesman, he instantly waves play on whenever Suarez is involved. In most cases I suppose he is right, but in some its just funny. Or, in the 46th minute, when the Norwich player dived over Downing comically, the commentators chuckled and dismissed it, but every touch by Suarez was analysed "he goes down too easily" or "yes there was contact but he goes down much too fast" etc. Carroll certainly tried to make an impact, should have scored that header but overall I had a positive impression. Suarez is being hindered by his reputation, Kuyt the workhorse can't play against teams that are composed of workhorses, he seems average. Gutted at the 2 points lost.
Has the official been ****ing Delia Smith? An utter ****ing pathetic display from that ****head of a ref. BUT, nothing is worse than a 35m "striker" who can't even head the ball into a wide open net. ****ing pathetic.
How the hell did we not win that one then?! Story of our season so far... Sunderland, then Stoke, Then United, now Norwich Chance after chance, miss after miss. Keeper made 2 ridiculous saves from Suarez but it should have been all over after 15 minutes.
Diffrent game, same problem! We create so many chances and we don't take them, hit the woodwork 3 times! To be fair the keeper did make some great saves but.. It's really worrying that we're not taking these chances And again we were punished. Norwich took there chance and got a point Exciting game and a good ad for the Preimerleague.. But it feels like a loss, again
Anyone would accept a draw before the off at Anfield! Not really deserved but we'll take it! Can I echo Thai's comment and thank you reds for making this an enjoyable time! You'll play worse than that and win! Good luck for the rest of the season, and be wary when you come to fortress Carrow Road.
Good performance, dissapointing result and dissapointing converting of chances. I flung my phone and the TV remote in the air when Suarez took that final shot and was getting ready to celebrate because I thought it went in, brilliant save.
We need a clinical finisher in January. Or for Kenny to tell Johnson, Skrtel, Adam etc to stop wasting the ball with shots that aren't going to go in 99 times out of 100. Less crosses and more running into the box.
Great thread and good luck to Norwich for the rest of the season! You've shown enough so far to show you can finish top 10!
Shows we can't grind out results. That is a must if we want top 4 and today amongst other games already shows we aren't capable of it. I can't see us getting fourth with Spurs and Newcastle playing so well and having the ability to grind results out. Great thread and 100% respect to all fans from both teams for keeping it very civil. Good luck for the rest of the season Norwich - from what I've seen so far you fully deserve to be in the EPL next season.
Jesus Christ, that was a match and a half! I think perhaps Liverpool deserved the points based on their first half performance, but I'm not going to turn away a point @ New Ann Fields. John Ruddy you are an absolute hero.
Well done, Budgies! Well deserved point, never shut up shop in the last 10 minutes where many teams may well have done! Impressive performance!! Have a good evening, lads!
PC - you also deserve a vote of thanks for setting up this thread And wasn't it good to have a set of opposing fans that understood, and appreciated it?
To be honest for the first 20 minutes I thought we where going to lose hugely. At half-time I thought we could keep it down to 2 or 3... Then Holt had that header from nowhere and then I knew we could hang on. Interestingly I've only dared to predict 2 games this season, and I predicted we'd beat Swansea 3 - 1 and draw 1 - 1 at Liverpool. If only I was a betting man!
