Im out the cup because of total goals predicted?

:emoticon-0173-middl

What on earth does that mean anyway? :steam:

You couldn't even be :emoticon-0172-mooni to flick a coin?

It's in the rules. If points are level and then extra time can't settle things then it is the person who predicted closest to the total number of goals that would be scored in the round.

You predicted 4 goals and Nolberto predicted 7.

6 goals were scored <ok>

Well there's a Johnny Jobsworth answer.

Whatever happened to flair, excitement, skill and talent???????/

Nev has got bags of that ..when it come to rule finessing, and I whole heartedly approve (well, this time ...as total goals predicted is eminently sensible in this years semi's..due to the overwhelming quality shown in predicting by all the semi finalists)

But in your own words:

:emoticon-0159-musicYou don't know what you're doing

Which is fair..as I actually thought I was up against Heed for some insane reason last round..but my madness without method shall see me grace the hallowed Wembley turf in a final and not some PR/money making excuse of a semi (better dig me suit out for the day)

I love it.

Lost to someone who didn't even know he was playing me!!

I would like to play the "better" man and wish you good luck and hope that you win in the final... but I can't

<wah> I wanted to win and you've, with the help of Less Than's iffy rules, stopped me. It will be a boring final between two boring players between two boring teams.

I deserved to win...<wah>

It may be reasonably poor at predicting football results, but, thankfully the double headed coin I loaned Nev, came in handy again.

As the representative of the Nob faction...and having no real understanding of the rules

Arsenal 3-1 Villa ...

(are goal scorers needed as a deciding vote?or , or, or?)

From the first post on the thread...

For the Final

Again the prediction is for 90 minutes. If there is a clear prediction winner after 90 minutes (even if the real final is tied after 90 minutes) then the prediction competition is over and we have a champion.

The scoring and tie breakers will be exactly the same (predicting the total number of goals scored during 90 mins first, if that is equal then use extra time to see if that decides the winner in a: result, or b: goals scored), with the exception that there will be no drawing of lots. Finalists will be asked to predict the time of the first goal (including the possibility of predicting no first goal) - to be used only in the event of both predicting the same score/result. Finalists can predict the same score if they want but cannot predict the same time for the first goal. The second prediction must be different in that respect only.

Do I get points for correctly predicting what time Nob predicts for the first goal?

After discussing with the Heed Fan Club, of which Obi is Honorary Life President at his request, we have decided..

Aston Villa 2 Arsenal 1

Oooh. Risky! Like it. <ok>
Hope you're wrong though. Couldn't stand the look on Sherwood's face if the Villains win.
