Total nutter and last summer I was one of those who said we should be rid due to the baggage. Glad he helped us get back in the CL but that baggage eventually came back to haunt him. BR and the team can say they "did everything" but once that bite happened it all but sealed the deal and we acted quickly.

Thanks Luis for the memories and the GREAT ****ING SONG!!!!! ( Another one with a good song gone though!)

Yet more nads from the forum fossil.

Pipe down Dave

Silly boy! You've dug a pit, you've jumped into it and now you can't climb out. Now that's both foolish and unnecessary. I don't need to pipe down when all I have to do is highlight your silliness and the fact that its your brain that appears to be atrophied.

Considering he has missed nearly a season through suspension in the last 4 years and is currently suspended, wants to leave and has a bad reputation 75 million is amazing business.

I will miss him, as he was an exceptional player, but he wont be missed in the same way Bale was for Spurs. I can imagine that we will find it harder as opposition defences will no longer have to concentrate on Suarez so much as before so Sturridge will get less space.

Suarez was worthy of the no7 shirt and will always be remembered as an amazing player.

Saying that Barcelona's front line is a something that a 14 year old would make on FIFA.

Eighteen games?

ffs, euros pounds and now dollars.

does anyone actually know if the value is a set value and in pounds? ie doesn't matter what the exchange rate for the day is, as i assume dealing with barca the figure will be euros but our end its pounds, is it a set value? regardless of rate.

The SkySports one, to me, is the most significant in that they immediately went with Gay Bumboy's £64m, obviously spoke to their 'sources', as they put it, then changed promptly to £75m. And as has been stated, if only we'd have left the Torres figure as 'undisclosed' and left the public thinking it was £30m-odd, I doubt if Newcastle would have sold us the ponytail for £20m over the odds. Can't see at all how it's within Liverpool's interests to up the figure.

Are people seriously on here arguing whether Liverpool got £64m or £75m?
Does it really matter?
Makes no difference to in the grand scheme of things.

Of course it matters, if reports of the full amount being given to Rodgers for new players are true the £11m will come in very handy.<doh>

agree,

but i wasnt sure in which way he meant does it matter, ie silly thing to argue over, but your point of view ie extra money, then obviously it matters.

I thought he meant none of us actually know and have no influence art the club so it's a pointless debate
