£4 million for Williams NO WAY - he has shown promise in the Championship but not at Premier level and his game + appearance for Wales showed he's a busy payer. He might develop and for his sake I hope does. The inflated costs on transfermarkt.com put him on £2 million and even at £1 million I say he is overpriced. Certainly no better than players we have, although being classed as an English and under 21 product has a knock on effect within the squad. transfermarkt.com
That same site has Bonys valuation at £13.2m - so if Liverpool offer £15m, we best bite their hands off So based on that we as a club would most likely nto sell Bony for less than twice that value (£26m) then it makes sense that £4m for Williams would be tidy.
I agree except for Ince...I think he would see regular action, either starting or off the bench in 90% of games. He has a good pedigree and is ambitious (and good age, picking up a possible England international on a free would be good business IMO. We couldn't really lose barring a terrible career ending injury). ...but saying that, like others, wasn't impressed with his behaviour in the last window and I believe he was just politely answering questions put to him anyway. If he wanted to be here he'd be here already surely? Just newspaper gossip IMO. Even though Williams would likely be just a squad player I really like him...and £4m could seem reasonable if we get 4/5 years out of him.
I am not so sure I would put him in front of Dyer Routledge or even Hernandez come to that. Then again Hernandez seems to have moved inside, so if he replacing Lamah then yes it would be an improvement.
Jon Williams is an excellent player and the Palace fans consider him by far their best prospect. He was allowed out on loan by the man who kept Palace rooted firmly at the bottom of the league before he was sacked and replaced by someone who got Palace to midtable in little time. There is absolutely no way Palace would even consider a bid of around £4M. He is worth a lot more than that and outperformed his Palace team mates often this season whilst he was still, they just had a mad man in charge who didn't have a clue. Swansea should be trying to sign this kid ASAP.
and Jon Jo . it looks like more artistic licence ,so many coincidences it must be true We have been reading with delight about several players being linked with a move to the Liberty Stadium this week, but of course rumours and speculation will surround players leaving the club. Football Direct News published an article yesterday stating JonJo Shelvey is on the radar for Premier League rivals West Ham United. They also believe Sam Allardyce will remain as Manager of the Hammers. The article suggests, Shelvey who scored six goals and got six assists last season, could be the subject of a £8million offer which may be enough to tempt the Swansea Board. They quote a “West Ham Insider” as saying: "It's a little early to say who will come in, but my understanding is that Shelvey fits the bill". "I'm sure Swansea won't let him go easily, but I have it on reasonably good authority that they value him at around £8m. We'll see what other players are out there and work from there" Of course, Shelvey is a London boy, born in Romford and played for Charlton Athletic before moving to Liverpool in 2010. Do you think the Swansea Board should sell Shelvey for this price or any other amount?
Shelvey is worth more than £8M in today's market. Put a 1 in front of that 8 giving his young age and English place of birth.
SWEP highlights that Garry Monk "could" sign Feyenoord star, and Dutch International,22 year old "playmaker",JORDY CLASIE. Man.Utd.,Spurs'and Arsenal also interested. So we can forget him,i guess.
Don't worry about Jonjo - Sam has been told to play more entertaining football at the expense of the long ball. To be fair on the lad he's done well when he's played closer to Leon, it's just a case of, does he want to play behind the AM.
