Available for £5m ....... but Brenda appears to be interested in signing him .... http://metro.co.uk/2015/06/14/liver...move-for-lorient-forward-jordan-ayew-5245503/
I know nothing about Ayew Jr. From what I've gathered from Youtube etc, he could be a decent understudy to Bafe and a working project but not a starter at this point and I doubt he'd thrive but with his big bros influence that might be enough to nudge him along. Depends on the price I suppose but he'd have to come cheap to make any sense.
Sun reporting again that we are in talks with Anderlecht about Mitrovic. They also say Ryan Babel could return to the Premier League with us. Why?
Not talking about Mitrovic any more, don't wanna get my hopes up. Babel though, seriously? Exactly right Nos, why? A flop at Liverpool, released by Ajax, why would we? Here's a link I found about it anyway http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2015...reportedly-keen-on-signing-former-liverpool/? I think the headline says it all as it includes the journo safe-word 'reportedly', meaning that the report is unsubstantiated, in English, fabricated. In the report it says "Monk is looking to strengthen the wing position ahead of next season" Obviously this reporter doesn't read the news himself or realise that we've just done that and also 'the wing position' he refers to is well populated as it is: Routledge, Ayew, Monterro, Barrow and Dyer and further with Tabanou in situ. I think the story's just a 'filler' Nos,
The Dutchman spent fours years at Anfield before leaving for pastures new in 2011, but he could be heading back to the English top flight if Swans boss Garry Monk gets his way. The 28-year-old was thought to be on the verge of joining Besiktas from Turkish rivals Kasimpasa, but the deal has collapsed allowing Swansea to make their move. Monk has already bolstered his attack with the capture of Andre Ayew, but the versatile Babel could also be heading to the Liberty Stadium in the coming days. Babel can play out wide or as an out-and-out striker, and Monk believes he can add strength and quality to a squad that finished eighth in the Premier League last season. -?
Hope so Taff Its all over the press this morning but the story's are just regurgitations of yesterdays original. If it does happen Taff, it will mean no Mitrovic at the Liberty, there's nothing but silence in the press about our courting him. I know its a long shot anyway and daily I feel a deal with Mitrovic is getting further away. Signing Babel puts any Mitrovic deal out of sight.
http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...sea-line-up-andros-townsend-swoop_229158.html Would be a tidy signing, cant see it though.
You guys seem very keen to buy one of our strikers.. Made bids for 2 of them if you believe the papers. We won't want to sell any key players now though - maybe if we go down but they score goals like Ings and Austin a move would be more likely next summer. Good luck for the season and I hope we can perform somewhere near the level you have produced since going up.
Might be paper talk to force through the Mitrov deal, just to put the wind up his club as they are stalling.
Kristoffer Nordvelt ,who has five caps for Sweden has joined us on a three year deal and will challenge Fabianski for the number one spot. (See Swans website)
They want the Barca kid to replace Cornell and to play in the 21's to bring him on, he is only 18 and would always have been 3rd choice.
http://thelibertylegion.com/2015/06/24/swans-interested-in-serie-a-midfielder/ Apparently we're in for Atalanta's intelligent centre midfielder Luca Cigarini, not so sure myself...4.5m for a 29year old... Maybe this has just been put forward to try and hurry along a different deal?
