Missed this I'm afraid Cove. How did the game go? I'd have supported PSV as I had a jersey of theirs when I was a child (from the 80s).
PSV/Memphis Depay crushed Ajax 1-3, Ajax took the lead in the first half, but got overrun by Depay, Narsingh and Jozefzoon. Definitely worth a watch, download here: http://forum.rojadirecta.es/showthread.php?225273-FUTBOL-Eredivisie-Ajax-Amsterdam-vs-PSV-Eindhoven-24-08-2014
http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2014/swansea-and-qpr-in-talks-to-sign-andre-ayew/? middle name Morgan so Morgan Hey you. I thought it sound Welsh.
Winger, and he is a very good player. I believe he's a leftie and I've only seen him play left-wing....but Monk said he wanted a right-winger, but I suppose Routledge could be considered a right winger if needs be.
Now being quoted as "Queens Park Rangers are facing stiff competition in their attempt to complete a last-minute deal for Andre Ayew, with Swansea City also reported to be keen on the 24-year-old." Sounds like we could be being used to up the already inflated £10 mn. Can't see that going through, myself.
Azeez Could Be Heading To Swansea (Swansea City To Bid For Azeez In Winter Transfer Window) Sep 04, 2014 04:14 PM English Premier League outfit Swansea City are interested in Unión Deportiva AlmerÃa defensive midfielder Ramon Azeez. Fichajes.net says according to reports in England, Swansea are interested in ending Azeez stay at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos. The Nigerian international, 21, joined the Rojiblancos in 2011 from Future Pro Academy and has enjoyed a productive time in Spain. He made his debut in the Spain LIGA BBVA on 30th August 2013, playing 20 minutes in a 2–2 home draw against Elche CF. On 21st December 2013, Azeez scored his first professional goal, netting the game's only in a win at Real Betis. He repeated the feat in the second meeting between the two teams, scoring in the 94th minute for a 3–2 triumph at the Estadio de los Juegos. On 3rd February 2014, Azeez was called up to the Nigeria senior side for a friendly against Mexico. He made his debut on 5th March against the El Tri, playing the entire second-half in a 0–0 draw at the Georgia Dome. The former Flying Eagles skipper was named in the provisional 30-man squad of the Super Eagles ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He was included in Stephen Keshi's final list for the tournament, and made his World Cup debut on 16th June by starting in a 0–0 draw against Iran. Ramon is currently on a deal with the Spanish club until June 2015 and will likely leave if a lucrative deal is tabled to his representatives. Could be signed on a free in the summer or for a small transfer fee in January.
We had a 10% sell on clause in place for Emyr Huws. He joined Wigan for £2.5m so we have £250,000 heading our way... http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...-Huws-joins/story-22896419-detail/story.html?
Abiola Dauda is filling Wilf's boots at Vitesse Arnhem...so far! http://www.insidefutbol.com/2014/09...ink-im-new-wilfried-bony-abiola-dauda/160769/ ...would be interesting to hear Cove's opinions on him as the season progresses.
If we were looking to buy in Holland I wonder what response we would have now after the issue with Uttrecht and the Vorm and non payment of sell on.
Azeez Focusing On Almeria, Mum On Swansea Link Sep 16, 2014 02:00 PM Super Eagles midfielder Ramon Azeez is keeping mute about persistent rumours of a reported interest from English Premier League side Swansea City. The 21-year-old Almeria of Spain midfielder was linked all through the summer transfer window with a move away from the Juegos Mediterráneos stadium. But speaking to sl10.ng, he said he’d rather focus his energy on helping his present club, UD Almeria have a good season in the Spanish La Liga. “These are just rumours that I would rather not talk about, because I am just focused on Almeria, which is where I am at the moment,” he told sl10.ng. Reports in the English media have persistently linked the former Flying Eagles captain with a move to Gary Monk’s side. And such reports haven’t ceased, despite the transfer window already being shut, with new reports claiming Swansea will make an official bid in January. But 21-year-old Azeez says he hopes to respect his contract with the Andalusians. “I have an existing contract with Almeria and I will respect that. These transfer stories aren’t the things I want to be talking about now, because we have a big season ahead of us, and that’s the focus,” he quipped. Azeez wasn’t listed for Almeria over the weekend in their 1-1 draw against newly promoted Cordoba in the Spanish La Liga, which left them 17th on the table, with two points from three games. He was, however, part of the Super Eagles team that lost 2-3 to Congo, but didn’t feature against South Africa in their 2015 Africa cup of Nations qualifiers.
Quite interesting that, I know that there is a scout from Almeria arrived and living in swansea for the next year, His son is in school with mine. wonder if we the club should be talking to him. I knw the son is on trial at the Swans.
Are Swans interested in Wolfsburg striker? Swansea and Newcastle are reportedly tracking the much sought–after striker Bas Dost who currently plays for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. The 25 year-old Dutch striker was signed from Heerenveen back in 2012 after scoring 45 goals in only 66 appearances. However goals have been more difficult to come by in Germany’s top league scoring just 17 times since his move. Wolfsburg’s manager is trying to cool the Premier League interest stating: We know what Bas Dost is capable of and we know he has the desire to play regularly but he has to be patient now. His time will come. Things do not happen in the blink of an eye, that is for sure. Ironically during the last transfer window, Wilfried Bony was linked with a move to Wolfsburg as they could offer him European competition football.
Looks like we are being.linked with a 3million pound transfer for Villa's Matt Lowton in the Jan window
Mickey Demetriou , shrewsbury left back, great long throw in and running Chelsea ragged atm, would be a good signing imo
