If ash joins QPR then he can forget about being a swans legend. He will lose all respect as a jack and will never be welcomed back at the liberty ever again. Swans have made him a multi millionaire plucked from non league and to go to a lesser club for more money is unforgivable. He is already set up for life so why desert us now when there is no need too.....

it would certainly raise eyebrows if he went to QPR. Maybe he just wants to move to London and Arsenal are not interested......

...but he'll be an ex-premier league footballer then, which doesn't stroke the ego like saying "I'm a Premier League Footballer" though does it ? And let's face it - as far as ego goes, Londons got more than it's fair share.

smaller fish in a bigger pool perhaps ,? but if he's off then it's for the big bucks which although QPR looked a bit daft the last time they were in the PL still look prepared to splash the cash .

Good luck to him. He is coming towards the end of his career and if he can get 1 last payday no complaints from me. At the end of the day its his career and I doubt very much that any of us would turn down an increase in wage when coming to the end of our chosen career. I would certainly always hold him in high regard for what he has done and how well he has served this club.

Not me if he joins a smaller club tipped for relegation again for a few thousand more when he is already a multi millionaire made by the swans, This bull of one last pay day don't wash when you are already got more money than you can spend...Ash has had his nose put out of joint because jinx wont give him a pay rise that will match what bony and michu are on and that's what happens when you break your wage policy...

Maybe Ash wants/needs to get out of Swansea. If the rumors are to be believed, he may have lost the respect of people down here.

Each to his own I suppose. Salary and earnings is relative though. People tend to live to their means and footballers are no different (not that I would be so presumptious as to know what his personal financial situation is unlike some). The Swans didnt MAKE him a millionaire. It wasnt like he came here when the club was successful and put on a masssive salary. He put in the work and performances that along with the rest of the team made the club successful and in turn got paid a salary commensurate with a player of his age, skill and ability. He doesn't owe us anything as he has already paid us back by the performances on the pitch.

Just to clarify prior to joining us on loan he was Stockport's captain, Welsh international, League 2 player of the year and North West player of the year (beating the likes of Gerard and Rooney to the award). So he was no mug. Coming to a League 1 club was the next natural progression. Hence the reason we paid a club record fee for him. He has undoubtedly paid us back in spades. He is coming up to 30 years of age and obviously feels this is the right move for him (financially).

Legends don't leave for lesser clubs that's why he will not now be a legend at the club in many eyes. He had it made here and i hope it all goes pear shape for him now at a smaller club...Shame on you ash you greedy git after Swansea made you and everything you have achieved with us.....

What like Trundle to Bristol City!! As for Swansea making Ash, club and player go hand in hand to become successful. If the players are good the club reaps the rewards with promotions and successful cup runs which in turn increases cashflow. Ash will always be a legend in mine and many others eyes. If he wants to go to the big city for his twilight years, he gets a hearty handshake and a heartfelt thanks for his contribution the clubs successes. We move on and hopefully replace with someone of equal ability.

CHEERS ASH THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES AND GOOD LUCK FOR THE FUTURE!!

The Daily Fail has had Ash leaving every Summer since we arrived in the Premiership They have also reported that Chico is leaving when we know he is on holiday in Spain and has tweeted he will be back. The Sun is also a garbage paper and I remember when it first came out Sid Greene the then President of the NUR saying he wouldn't wrap his fish and chips in it This just about sums it up. Ash has been a good player for us and well known for his charitable work off the pitch and if he should go will have my thanks and best wishes.

SWANSEA City have dismissed reports that Ashley Williams is closing in on a move to Queens Park Rangers.

Stories in the national press suggest the defender is on the verge of a £4 million switch to Loftus Road, with some even claiming he was set to agree personal terms after passing a medical.

But Williams, who has also been linked to the likes of Liverpool, Napoli and Arsenal this summer, still has a year to run on his Swansea contract.

Swansea are understood to be keen to keep their captain and are not resigned to him leaving despite persistent rumours he will exit the club.

Ash is not having a medical in London. He's sunning it up in a villa in the Algarve.
