Indeed. Looks like quality. Bony being off for a month may have worked in our favor. e.g. Telling him he'd be backup but would also have at least a whole month as main striker to prove himself could have worked to our advantage. As for us not being able to sign big names under Monk - Castaignos looks pretty big to me. How big do you want? He'll be the biggest name in the squad.
As I predicted. Very similar to Drogba. Big, strong, explosive power and can hold the ball up to bring others in as well as his ridiculous ability in the air. However in our favour, if Costa us going there too, I don't think Bony will be be content with a subs role.
Ash going to QPR if the Sun is to be believed. Don't believe it myself. Pointless move for him unless for money. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/5663422/Harry-Redknapp-lines-up-Ashley-Williams-swoop.html
It's a big statement though if they are saying he has already undergone a medical. If he goes there it's for the money and nothing else.
**** move for him unless he wants to play along side his bestest friend Rio . I could say thanks Ash and all the best if he went to a big club but QPR
Agree Lurk, if Liverpool, Arsenal came in etc and he went then it's obvious why he has gone, but QPR would be hard to understand unless it's a big payday for him.
If ash signs for a lesser club like just promoted QPR then it will be for a lot more money than he is getting from us and in my eyes he will cease to be a swans legend. If it was a bigger club then i can understand that and nobody can blame him, He has earned millions with us already and is not short of a few bob and he will be team mates with knob head Barton...
I can confirm the deal is imminent, just been in rossis and he tucking into a rissole and chips with Huw.
Ben Davies linked with Spurs . As much as I rate the lad is he really the answer to a team who's managers' job is deemed to be safe even if they fail to finish in the top 4 next season . I think not . The Daily Mail are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur are seeking Mauricio Pochettino’s approval to sign Swansea City left-back Ben Davies. We all know how desperate we are for a new left-back. Last season’s performances by Danny Rose were evident that he is not up to the standard to play week-in week-out for us which led the club to send scouts to the Liberty Stadium on a number of occasions last season to watch the Welsh international. According to the report, Spurs are now waiting for Pochettino to green-light the deal. Benoit Assou-Ekotto spent last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers and it remains to be seen if Harry Redknapp will try and sign him on a permanent deal following their return to the Premier League.
Are you sure ? a few seasons now he's made disgruntled comments and perhaps he should leave before Ben
Castaignos to Swansea And for 6.5 million no less Well that's a lot of millions down the drain, you guys make sure you buy another striker in the winter.
Had a terrible first season at Twente, had a decent season this year but he missed so, so, sooooooo many chances that I couldn't see him even succeed at Ajax or PSV. His year in Italy completely wrecked his potential and I doubt he'd do any good at all in the EPL. He fails to score in the Eredivisie, far from ready and has not even developed consistent finishing and form to even be close to top Dutch League level...
The Ash story gathers pace http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ams-ready-quit-Swansea-QPR-4million-deal.html
