Yup. Hope he isn't really injury prone as Terrorwit suggests. http://arsetalks.com/fabianski-out-for-the-season/
Over the last 7 years he has averaged 10 appearances a season. This average is the same for the last 3 seasons. Not writing him off but he represents a risk. Would feel more comfortable with Alex McCarthy.
John Gregory was impressed with young Gwion Edwards then.... http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...s-fight-team/story-21157512-detail/story.html He values him at £500,000 and wants to take him on loan for the season. Gwion is going to complete pre-season with us though as he is hoping to force his way into 1st team contention.
Fingers crossed that Tremmel is leaving too and we will also bring McCarthy as Vorms replacement as I don't rate Fabianski better than Vorm.
SSN saying Liverpool have made and official bid for Rickie Lambert. Would that be an end to their Bony interest or an addition.
Strange bid unless Suarez is staying so with Sturridge and him Lambert would be a sub. No way would Bony settle for a bench.
Lambert would be more of a fit for Liverpool's style of attacking rather than Bony imo so it could be good news for us .
Garry's comments regarding our newest member of the Jack Army. Garry Monk has claimed new signing Lukasz Fabianski has the hunger to make him a success at Swansea City. Swans boss Monk made his first delve into the transfer market since replacing Michael Laudrup by landing Arsenal goalkeeper Fabianski on a free. And Monk has insisted the 29-year-old FA Cup winner has the perfect attitude to make him a Liberty Stadium hit. Poland international Fabianski has penned a four-year deal after snubbing offers elsewhere in the Premier League, as well as one to stay at the Emirates. And Monk said: "We are delighted to sign someone with Lukaz's pedigree. "He is an honest and humble person who wants to work extremely hard. I'm sure he will prove a very good and important signing for Swansea City. “He's come from a big club where it has been difficult for him to command the number one spot. It's been frustrating for him at Arsenal because he hasn't played as many games as he would have liked. “But speaking to him this week I could see the hunger he has to come here and prove he is a number one goalkeeper. That's a great attitude to have and it's the only type of player I want at Swansea City. “I hope we can help him progress as a player and in his career because at 29 he has got to the age where he wants a new challenge. Michel Vorm and Gerhard Tremmel will provide him with plenty of competition, but that's exactly what I want. “My job is to get the squad as competitive as possible across all areas and this signing confirms that thought process. It has to be a competitive environment and whoever backs themselves and comes out on top will wear the shirt.”
Good signing for them , one of a few they're going to need imo , a lot of loanees and out of contract players means Poyet will be looking to rebuild for next season .
