Group ones in other countries. My interest in the flat starts and ends in England and Ireland and France occasionally so I'll stick by what I said.
Hong Kong Cup is a major international Group 1. If My Titania wins one of them races I think we will all be a bit surprised after what she has shown on her last two runs. She looked like the best horse today and it wasnt the most efficient ride you will ever see but she needs to settle better to fulfil her potential, even if that potential is far from what some of us, myself included hoped it would be.
The Open getting interesting. McIlroy -15, Garcia -14. The last man to come back from a 6 shot deficit going into the final round was a massive......2 years ago (Ernie Els).
He has only been going 2/3 years tbf. However, given the facilities he has been given by the Qatari's and the bloodstock invested in him,his record is poor. Would be well down the list of trainers if I owned a good one.
I know a few on this forum tipped him up beforehand but not for the first time Rickie Fowler found wanting when it comes to the crunch.
Yeh i know mate, but i meant compared to last year, he had a really good season last year and also got the best / a lot of wins out of a lot of average horses, this year the only races he's been winning is either with his best horse ( extorniost ) and the odd favourite in a poor handicap, and he apparently was meant to have a lot of decent juveniles this season yet they've all been running poor
For example he's operating at a 5% win rate on the turf this season, that's awful compared to his 15% last season and the horses this season have been better and better placed
When you need a 65 to even draw level with McIlroy, its not going to be enough unfortunately. Garcia making sandcastles in the bunker currently.
2 under with 3 to play is a good score. He's not failed today. He's just up against a guy that destroyed the course on days 1-3.
Agree. A player ahead birdies an easy hole - his odds come in and the favourite drifts out......even though the favourite has the easy hole to come!
