Havent seen the race but by the sounds of it the jockey messed up. A big drift before the off then the jockey messes up....makes you wonder sometimes.

Amen to that. How many jockeys can you name who wouldn't have tried to take back control by giving the horse a smack at the intersection, rather than catch hold of him, get him balanced and restore the rhythm ? Francome probably, Fred Winter probably, Tim Molony maybe. Can't think of any others. And remember that this is a man who certainly doesn't need to ride raw bumper horses at Uttoxeter on a Monday night in July ! We may not see his like again - treasure it while it lasts.
Some performance to get that home. Face like a wee kid afterwards too, as if to say "feck me, can you believe that ****e?"
