Rubbish old boy! When your reliant on crazy 30ft putts to save your parr you'll only get so far!

Hope Fowler can get a big one soon, always liked him since I saw him in the 2011 Open in horrible conditions. At the minute he's looking a bit like for lady the plasterer, the perrenial bridesmaid.

Fowler is lacking the killer instinct to nail one, that was a great opportunity for him last night.

Mickelson also missed a few birdie chances, but it was that wonder shot on the 16th that somehow didnt drop and Rory's flukey roll for eagle when he was down and out that decided it.

To be fair, it would have been lucky if it did drop on the 16th, and he should have still made par after that, but thats the luck you need sometimes when its tight, Rory got it, Phil didnt.

Fowler is a really nice guy, especially for a yank. Is that five consecutive top five placings in majors without winning one? He needs to find that killer edge but I am sure he will win one some day soon!
Rory was a shade fortunate but over four rounds you will get good and bad breaks. The thing about him is is that having got the break he had that instinct not to waste his opportunity!

Rory dealt with the pressure better than the rest and that won the day. Big Phil's driving went a bit off down the final few holes.

Fowler will definitely win a major, Ive little doubt. Him, Rory and Scotty will dominate the majors in years to come.
