Two months is a long time.. Weird how things work out! Trouble is, besides being on the same course we're also going to the same uni in September . I think you may be right though, as what has been said above. Women don't like the moping, self pitying, etc. just need to be able to channel the emotions in a somewhat positive way, let em' do what the **** they want and if they seriously give a **** they'll at least try to work it out.

How did she act post break up? Wanted nothing to do with you? Adamant that you weren't getting back together or did she just want some space?

Nothing to do with me at the time despite claiming she wanted to stay friends but the old "need time" comment was used too. She wouldn't answer my calls or meet me, only contact I had was text. Found out she was living near my work after seeing her, she avoided me when I saw her.

As I said, he continued that way for a while. I deleted her number and told her to do the same. Her misfortune (her Gran passed away) was got us talking again, she text my mum and asked me to get in touch as she needed someone to confide in and I'm not that much of a heartless batard

Similar thing happened to me when I was about 23. All my mates were saying "forget her" "move on" and the one your mates always say " there's plenty more fish in the sea"....but who wants to shag a fish!

Had a mate who split up with his wife, and one of my other mates said "she was a bitch anyway and none of us liked her"...two weeks later 1st mate was back with said wife. Guess who never got invited to their parties again?

It's a very awkward situation as technically I'm the one who ended it.. But I know the feelings will subside in time, and if we don't work it out.. I'll be going to uni single. Just going through the expected post break up emotions. Am starting to think the feelings are different for males than they are for women!

Me and my mrs (not married) used to fall out almost daily before we split. She used to threaten to leave all the time and did actually walk out the house a few times too. The time which actually split I lost it. I can't even remember what it was about but I know I was fuming. As she was grabbing some bits together and putting them in her bag, I grabbed her cat (long fur and used to its on mess attached and therefore stunk) and said "here, don't forget this ****ing **** arsed thing!" as I shoved it in her (large) handbag bag. I fault rather guilty and embarrassed about that bit

PS...I never saw that cat again, she got her sister to look after it whilst we were apart. It was a indoor cat but her sister left the back door open and the house backed onto some woods.

Now before you judge me and say wow, you must have been a t**t. This was all brought on because I did nothing. Didn't contact her much. She got upset because she thought I was living the high life, seeing my Facebook photos with different women and having a good time.

Women eh? your better off especially at your age! Before you're 25 it's best being single, unless you have something very special.

Wasn't even me who put the photos up. In fact, not one of them was anyone I was seeing. Haven't got any of the girls I've dated on there.

I moved up Newcastle to be with her. Now we've split, my social circle up here is limited. Not many single mates up here, just a few I play Rugby with. Now I'm working offshore, all the people I work with are from all over. Come autumn, I'll be looking to move away. Not sure what my plan is yet. Don't know where I'll settle. During my time off I'll probably just bounce around the place between friends and family and the rest of the time go on holiday. If I buy a house I'll probably just rent it out as I'll never be home much.

I'll like to settle down, but I'm not gonna get myself into a relationship for the sake of being with someone. I want to find something that could last. Aint gonna find that on Tinder.

Feel for you Magic. Its a horrible time. I had a horrible break up about 12 years ago and was whole heartedly miserable for about a year after.

I found the best way to deal with it was one of the following:

1. Shag about - At the moment 100% of your thoughts are on your ex, (good times, getting her back etc.) If you sleep with someone else they may only occupy 2% o your thoughts. Once you have gotten through a few the time spent thinking of your ex decreases.

2. Smoke alot of weed - Takes away the pain, (but aint good in the long term.)

3. Visit theme parks - If you cannot force a smile, a roller coaster always brings one out.

Most important thing is to remember you have a bright future ahead of you. I can remember how distraught i was back then, but now im happily married to a lovely lady who is completely different to my old love - Stay strong and try and give yourself the same advice you would give to someone else.

Cheers fella, much appreciated Hurts now but deep down I know down the line I will be happy at some point. I think, sometimes after a break up you only remember the good things about someone. Need to remember why I ended it in the first place!

Plough as many as is humanly possible. Big ones, small ones, blondes, brunettes, even ****ing gingers! And then when you've smashed more than you even thought possible, you'll look back on this one and think "why was I even arsed?" Somewhere down the line you'll meet someone who you connect with on a different level, but at college age this is way too soon to even contemplate it.
