We're not voting for favourites. We're voting for best players. Hopefully, Saints have had a few better than Jim.

Neither can I. Simply the best.

EDIT: BTW, the CBs are in each other's position.

I think I'd have to vote for Alf Ramsey if that poll ever happened!

I'll admit that I was scraping the barrel a bit at the end, but nobody came up with alternatives when I asked, although I could've put Chicken George in I suppose..:emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Terry Paine.

It would probably have been easier to vote for two wingers at once. Some wingers can play, and have played, on both flanks.

Tery Paine gets my vote, not a very pleasant individual, but managed to convert from a very talented conventional Right Winger to a very talented Midfielder late in his career. Also had the ability to pick out a pass and place the ball with surerb accuracy.

What no Stuart Ripley ?? For me George Lawrence did more for the club than Nathan Dyer. My vote goes to Danny Wallace.

Had to go Danny (just for outjumping Hansen I think for the second in that game against pool in 84) as I never saw Terry play

One of my favourites was Terry Curran. Great winger.

Didn't he score the winner in the semi-final against Leeds? 1-0 at home.

This is difficult. Assuming Lallana will be a left winger? If I vote Wallace it's based on what I've seen on YouTube and TV clips, no actual matches... Chamberlain only played at lower levels. Fernandes wasn't that good. I'm going to have to vote Punch.

Begrudgingly (if not considered left sided) then Lallana gets my shout. Loved big Jim Magilton, my friend once kicked over his orange juice at a Junior Saints day, to which I replied he had the same delicate footwork as Jim... Safe to say Jim didn't see the joke.

Left or centre midfield. We're going to need 3 pages for the CM berths.
