You said yourself 'def to West Ham' when I mentioned the power shift. Anyway, the whole 'power shift' nonsense was HIAG's deluded ramblings, but according to his logic, West Ham are on for doing the power shift over Spurs this season.

As for the Chavs, there aren't many things that Gooners and Yids can agree upon, but we can both share a laugh at their piss poor outings. <ok>

West Ham have improved more than Spurs (or Arsenal) so momentum is with them. It's a long season though. I don't recognise what a power shift is. We'll have to ask Jayram if he comes back <whistle>

<laugh> To be fair, even that dozy ****er admitted that he only brought it up out of despair after a run of bad results. He quickly backtracked though, unlike HIAG who is still banging on about it years later.

As both Arsenal and West Ham have improved their league position they both have improved in relation to Spurs who are 7th which is below where they finished last season. But it is early in the season and lots can happen and I expect Spurs to be above West Ham but not Arsenal by the season end.

i do fully understand what the concept of a power shift is, and the factors that all need to happen for a change in the status quo, or to start a change or a movement towards a change. it's all quantum physics stuff and has no place on a football forum :)

    But it does.

    1. The Wenger Hokey-Cokey (he can be both in and out on a weekly basis) has replaced
Schrodingers' Cat as the definitive laymans explanation of the "Copenhagen interpretation" .

    2. Evidence of the shift is observed by detection of collapse into the Europa state.

  7. What some of you are forgetting it that I didn't predict a Power-Shift, others have. Indeed, I have consistently maintained my distance from such talk, choosing, instead, to wait and see how things pan over over the next couple of seasons.

As for WHFC, I'm not really sure what they have to do with the North London Power-Shift, but if you guys want to open that debate, I won't try to stop you.

I'm sure there are many out there who will be saying that, this season, even WHFC can make a "shift" on Arsenal, but I would not be so bold. I think I'll, once again, take a back-seat, and see how things pan out.

The point in mentioning WHUFC is that according to your logic, they are on to do the power shift over the spuds this season.

Thus, their relevance to the north London power shift is that power could be shifting from WHL to West Ham, as we all know that a power shift from Arsenal to Spurs exists only in the minds of the deluded.

I'm afraid you have a poor record when trying to bullshit your way out of predictions you have made though HIAG. Nobody else on this forum (despite your claims) mentioned a North London power shift, you're on your own with that prediction.

I suspect it will go the same way as your prediction that Arsenal would finish 7th behind spurs last season

The power is shifting but hasn't yet shifted from spuds to West Ham.

I think they will finish above us for the next few seasons. They certainly should do with the cost of their squad.

    Give it 5 years though......

West Ham did some good business in the summer transfer window and Bilic has got them playing some decent football. I wrote a thread at the beginning of the seasons saying he'd do well and despite a couple of spuds trying to mock it, he's proving them wrong. The power shift could yet happen this season if West Ham continue their form.

You forgot to include your usual disclaimer, Piskie.

I have to say, it's lovely to see West Ham and Arsenal fans continuing to get on so well. Best of chums. <smooch>

I've always had a soft spot for the Hammers. Growing up in south London I'd often go to Upton Park and selhurst park with friends when Arsenal were playing up north.

A good friend of mine stayed in Upton Park, but he wasn't a hammer. This is going back about 15 years but when arriving at Upton Park, if you turned left and kept on walking (some people wouldn't be that brave) you would find a lovely Indian delicatessen, stunning Indian sweets and quite a few beautiful Indian ladies.

Slighty off topic there, but all this talk of Upton Park and the hammers (spammers) has made me hungry for some indian sweets :emoticon-0130-devil

You can't expect anything to do with Arsenal to stay in South London, SD.

So HIAG, you have predicted that Spurs will 'take the spoils' on Sunday in what is part of your wider prediction that Spurs 'will take all 6 points off of Arsenal' this season.

By what scoreline do you think Spurs will win by this Sunday ?
