What is everybody doing this year to celebrate ?

I've seen so many St Totterinham's days, I think this year I'll have a quiet glass of red wine to toast the annual event.

 

May I suggest watching the three match season where they won the league for your viewing pleasure?

 

I've wondered, all along, whether or not those who thought there might be a shift in power were being a little bit premature, and I take some comfort in knowing that I was right.

I think you need to have a word with the author of this thread mate. He's clearly one of those delusional types who thought the power shift was on.

How much power is there to actually shift?
We are talking about two teams that have won 1 cup competition each in the last decade.

I do, his name was Jayram and he was almost as deluded as you old bean.

He was so anti-Wenger and anti-Club that he eventually ****ed off and formed his own forum where he could wallow in his negativity. So you have to take his power shift comment with a big pinch of salt.

To be fair to him though, he got ripped apart for that comment (like you have) and he eventually conceded that it was a stupid thing to come out with.

I would if I ever made any such outrageous claims, PISKIE. But, as you know, I have reserved my position on the matter.

 

Other than writing a whole thread dedicated to the power shift of course

 

I think it was correct of me to draw this to people's attention. Many (but not necessarily me) have been debating the entire issue for several seasons, wondering if a shift was under way, but I have always maintained my distance.

 

Do you think there is a shift happening ?

 

Good question, and I think it deserves a straight-forward and direct answer.

Many have debated whether or not there has been a shift. Others, still, have debated whether or not we are in the midst of a shift, no matter how slight that shift may be. I think we can both agree that there has been a lot of mass-debating going on. I have listened to all the arguments, and I can definitely inform you that I am probably undecided on the matter. You will agree with me, I am sure, PISKIE, that the sensible thing to do is to wait for the entire picture to unfold before foolishly proclaiming that a shift has or has not happened, or that we are or are not in the midst of a shift.

Hopefully, that clarifies matters and we can both agree to sit back and wait to see if a shift unfolds.*
