One of the greats of the 1970s. I’m pretty sure it was Neeskens who discovered that if you kicked the inlet valve on the football at set-pieces, the ball would move very erratically in the air fooling keepers. And boy, could he hit it!
How not to run a football club. *Sell a player and tell the buying club to not bother paying for him. *Sign a kit sponsorship deal that sees the club pay rather than the sponsor. No wonder they are going out of business.
Absolute madness The ONLY explanation possible is that his intention was to put the club out of business, or he worked at the same bank as Rachel Reeves Or he is so thick he should not be allowed out anywhere on his own
My own theory is that he wants to put the club out of business for a specific reason. Inverness has been selected as the site of one of the two proposed Freeports in Scotland. Tulloch Stadium is situated in a very handy site, right on the waterfront - ripe for development. Nudge nudge, wink wink...
Surely a new stadium and keeping the club could have been an option Am I right in thinking they were ion the Prem for a year or two and or won a cup
They were in the Premiership from 2004 to 2017, bar one season in the Championship. Actually finished third in 2015, the same season they won the Scottish Cup. That win saw them play in the Europa League the following season. Also won the Scottish League Cup once, but I can't remember which year.
Not official but tragic news coming out of Greece that ex Sheffield United player George Baldock has been found dead at his home in Athens. Only 31. Very sad if true.
Well, they are ex champions of Europe. I saw one of their group games at Euro 2004, think they lost v Russia, a great atmosphere. Ruined by my dad and his piss head mates as made me a bit nervous at being only 22., we had a lot of mental Russian around us too.
Never yet met a nice russian, be it in Europe, Egypt, Morocco, Vietnam, Ecuador, or here, truth be told: everything the Germans are feted to be, only worse...much worse. And yet to interact with Germans that I didn't get on with be that in Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, or USA. russians show an arrogance that the Germans could only dream of... and the vast majority of them didn't want it anyway! England were dogpoop, btw, and deserved to lose.
To be fair on this Fez - the Russians likely to be found in Egypt, Morocco, Vietnam or Ecuador are likely to be those with money and therefore not representative of the whole country.
Anyone we meet on our travels is barely representative of the whole country, probably have to live and work wherever for a while. I can only call it as I see it!
Bit rough on Scotland - last kick of the game own goal disallowed for offside, giving Croatia a 2-1 win. Haven't seen that before ..
