Leeds look absolutely shocking - Boro totally in charge at 3-0. Makes me wonder when Farke will get the sack...
Pens, pens and more penssss: Ajax beat Panathinaikos after 34-penalty shootout in Europa League qualifying - BBC Sport
PNE are interviewing Paul Heckingbottom with a view to him becoming their third manager this season...
Got the job now . Did well with Sheffield United in this league but struggled elsewhere I think. Think Preston fans just want exciting football but then doesn’t everyone?!
Jermaine Jenas been a very bad boy then. Sacked by the BBC for inappropriate behaviour. A few dodgy texts it seems. Silly chap - not even just suspended on pay.
And they obviously said sorry mate think you haven’t got a leg to stand on. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy9enw5xp2qo Admitted his guilt and accepted the sacking .
Funny place the BBC - they covered up Jimmy Savile's disgusting activities for decades, and then sack someone for a dubious text message.
Times change i guess (victims come forward more) but does seem a quick one unless they have known for ages and managed to keep this quiet . Won't be the only one involved I am sure but the guy got caught and clearly hasn't got much room to wriggle out of it, Good job they hadn't given him the MOTD job!
Sven Goran Eriksson has died aged 76. Had been battling cancer but even with that seemed to be positive and smiling . RIP
A bit of a myth buster this - a video recommended to me by YouTube yesterday. Ignore the grainy footage, the awful camera work, the laughable editing (the scoreline suddenly jumps from 2-2 to 3-1 then to 4-2) and the poor commentary - this is supposed to be a team of England's finest players from the 50s, players about whom older fans wax lyrical whilst wallowing in nostalgia. Based on what's on view here, they'd have a hard job getting into a National League side.
The editing is truly shocking, the players from that era would never make it in todays game, the player from our best era in the eighties would struggle in todays game but they were and always will be heroes of their era
Birmingham obviously have a lot of money to spend !? 10 million offered. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c4gejxkv2g1o
Alternately many of the best players of today couldn't have coped with the playing surfaces then, or with the physicality of the game as it was played in those days.
