Gary O'Neil and Wolves must wonder what they have done to upset VAR this season!

Another couple of contentious decisions against them last night.

I wonder what Carlisle's new American owners are thinking this morning after watching their club being thrashed 5-1 by the team immediately below them - 23rd placed Reading?

The French interior ministry have stepped in with an emergency law and banned all Ajax fans from attending the match in Marseille tomorrow night - any Ajax fans trying to attend could face time in prison there as a result. Apparently they say they are trying to protect the angelic fans of Marseille <doh> (I know Ajax fans aren't angels but Marseille are even worse). I understand they do not have much confidence in some of the worst policing in Europe but this is overstepping the mark - if they can't guarantee safety then they shouldn't be hosting matches of this sort.

I'd put Marseille fans in the same bracket as wolves, personally. Ajax are a couple of rungs up the ladder.

Have been watching the Helsinki v Aberdeen game - with the score at 2-2 and 15 minutes to go, snow stops play!

I've just realised that it is in the Hamburg derby, St. Pauli in the all brown strip.

Just a taste of Germanys weather at the moment <doh> Sub zero everywhere the whole day today - Cologne is expected to creep up to zero in the course of the day (Germany's warmest city) but everywhere else is in minus the whole day - snow catastrophe in the south and no public transport anywhere around Munich (their game is off today).

Bit unfortunate for Alfreton and the BBC.

Cup tie v Walsall called off minutes before the start due to a frozen pitch.

Wonder if the game would have been called earlier if it hadn't been on TV?

Up to now affordable Andy - there is a price cap on gas and electricity which caps the price of gas at 12 cents per KW hour and 40 cents per KW hour of electricity, but these caps will be dropped on Dec. 31st. The difference is being paid by the government here. The price of electricity is now going down here anyway for the first time in 2 years. The constitutional court have decided that the government had illegally used money allocated to the Coronavirus response to fund policies tackling the climate crisis - including special funds like energy capping. So what happens next year is any ones guess. We heat only with wood at home and so the cold spell only means we use up our supply a bit faster - the price of wood has nearly doubled over the last 2 years.

My sister lives in Munich - it was her birthday on Thursday and she got her "best ever present" - a tradesman turned up to fix her heat pump after it hadn't worked for 4 days. Daytime temperature of zero for all that time - no wonder she's happy.
