Has anyone seen this ? https://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/productions/dear-england/ About Gareth Southgate and his journey as England manager mainly through his eyes helping the players improve not only as footballers but give themselves more confidence and self assurance mentally. Was well acted with a mix of serious and light hearted stuff involved .
Changes to the EFL highlights on ITV. No pundits and a shorter format based from a ground rather than in the studio. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/itv-efl-highlights-major-shakeup-30407822 I did think 2 hours was a bit too long and the pundits whilst good at times depending on who it was ended up repeating themselves a lot over the course of the show
Well done England Under 21s. Had to dig deep but got over the line. Great save at the end . Hopefully a sign of things to come !
Some quite hard hitting dark stuff from Dele Ali on his personal life . Might explain why he has had trouble keeping his career on track .
No surprise to see Luton’s first home game off. Redevelopment won’t be completed . Games not switched around either .
What the hell was going on here? The Republic of Ireland's behind closed doors game with Colombia was called off after 20 minutes for being overly physical
Seems someone got injured and Colombia were too strong in the tackle. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/66203599
Aaron Ramsey back to Cardiff . Been injured so much you wonder what impact he might have but certainly be good for them if they can keep him fit.
Quite a few chasing the money in Saudi Arabia. Good luck to them I suppose, but I still think the whole thing stinks - and I sincerely hope our tv screens don't get polluted by it. https://www.flashscore.co.uk/news/f...rs-have-joined-the-saudi-pro-league/n7fHt0YP/
Very surprised that we beat Norway in the World Cup. I thought Norway were very disappointing. I've never thought much of Hannah Wilkinson but she scored the goal so I suppose that she can be crap for the rest of the game if she scores the winning goal.
A narrow win for Australia against Ireland in their opening match too - just a penalty giving them a 1-0 victory. A decent attendance too - over 75K.
A win for the ladies but didn’t sound very convincing. Mind you we don’t really start tournaments on fire . Good old VAR helped us .
Assistant should have spotted the keeper off her line straight away. I don't think that the Lionesses had their A Game with them. A lot of loose passes and a seemingly nonchalant attitude: turn up and win sort of thing. Never that straightforward. We have some serious omissions from the squad due to injury so, to be honest, I'm not expecting too much from them: quarter finals. Full squad, we could win it. Not this time.
Not an everyday headline - match abandoned due to hearse on the pitch... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-66273898
