Start of B teams in the EFL? https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...hip-to-house-loan-players-in-new-finance-deal
Anyone else watching The Lionesses? Cracking game. Again. Fair play to them, Sweden 3-0 down but not yet out of it.
Outstanding performance and some very good goals. Sure the 4th was lucky with poor keeping but overall fully deserved by England.
"Top-flight clubs want more chances for their young players" They don't want much, do they? The buggers pinch young players from EFL clubs for next to nothing, then expect those clubs to loan them back, no doubt at a fee. Why can't they just leave them at the EFL clubs in the first place, then buy them at market value when they actually need them?
Was hoping for a French win so that no matter which side won I could claim victory. I know which side I will support now.
Well there's one unwanted 'gong' we won't win this season - Motherwell sacked their manager yesterday, the day before the opening fixtures of the season.
Probably as they lost to Sligo Rovers in the Europa league - rather embarrassing result. Without scoring too. Motherwell actually got into Europe despite only winning 2 games after Christmas! Not sure what everyone else was up to...
