Boarder issues for Chester ! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-59906505 Pitch in Wales but the car park is in England.
From the QPR v Rotherham game, which has gone to penalties. If I was the Rotherham manager I think I'd complain...
Brum dumped out of the FA Cup by a lower league Plymouth. How long before Lee Bowyer is replaced by T. Deeney? So Rebecca Welch became the first female to ref a FA Cup tie in this game. There is one fearsome lady ref in French football that I wouldn't wish to bump in to. The proverbiale outhouse and her were made for each other.
Matej will watch any match on the box, so I found myself watching a bit of the Millwall game. What a surprise it was to clearly hear over the atmospheric mics the home fans chanting “You black bastard! You black bastard!” at Vieira. They booed when players took the knee, but cheered their own black goalscorer. Animals. They should be forced to play out the season behind close doors. I accept that the owners and team would be most affected by that, but surely ‘Buyer Beware’ is pertinent as to their choice of club to own/play for.
I think Millwall would never play in front of a crowd again if they were punished for their behaviour each time. Throwing objects too and the sad thing is their fans seem to think it's acceptable and part of the game.
I do love a bit of dark humour when expressed by disillusioned football fans. "Shock of the round was Spurs beating Morecambe"
I remember when we played Leeds in the home game before Deeneys goal of the century their fans were actually celebrating the fact that their obnoxious brat of a forward put our keeper in hospital and they stopped us going up, It was the closest I have come to being young and stupid again after a match, good job my wife and some friends were with me I have hated the "totally worthless individuals" (Oxford Dictionary) ever since
Had to rely on the big names . Glad Kidderminster got a good draw. The rest was a bit dull tbh. Come on Cambridge and BW!
That was a truly shocking incident - why Poleon wasn't carded for that was beyond comprehension, he deliberately pushed Anya into Bond. I remember the groundstaff had to wash Bond's blood off the pitch before play could resume. And then to add salt to the wound, Deeney got sent off for a second yellow.
Big shout for a penalty at the Forest ground, but no VAR to review it. Not sure it is right to have it in some places and not others in the same competition.
