Is Marcus Rashford getting unfair stick for basically spending his money on buying up some houses? Rashford might just buying these houses for family and friends like many rich people probably do to help them out? Least it's using his money wisely and thinking of others and the future rather than down the betting shop or on a night out.
There was a deliberate attempt by the Mail to smear Marcus Rashford by trying to link his good work to him spending some of his money in a responsible way. Maybe we shouldn't be surprised at this rag attempting to denigrate him, but I think he answered them in a most grown up way, and seems to have the vast bulk of people backing him. I don't understand why the Mail should attempt this, but it seems to have backfired on them I am pleased to say.
Looking at the comments below they do it because the people who seem to write agree with the article sadly. No thought process to it all. They just see rich man buying houses whilst also trying to appeal for help to those less fortunate.
It would appear that Newcastle are now trying to involve the supporters group in the latest failed takeover. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/55006611
Didn't realise the ramp at Wembley had gone - to be replaced by steps.. https://t.co/W5Q5SwnsIB" / Twitter Not sure if that is a safe idea really!
As if there aren't enough steps there already... My last visit - the Wolves semi-final - still haunts me. The queues for the lifts never seemed to get smaller - and the climb up to the top tier was only marginally worse than the climb back down again. The two way crush of humanity trying to get around the walkway just to queue to get back into the Fanzone - clashing with the queue for the Tube station. Nightmare trip really, in spite of the result. I doubt I'll ever bother again...

Charcot Marie Tooth disease. A disorder that affects the sheathing of the nerves to the extremities. Sounds a horrific way to go.
I wondered when this would happen - FIFA approve maternity leave for female players. https://uk.reuters.com/article/socc...ternity-leave-for-women-players-idUKL4N2IK3GA
Amazing scene at Udinese this afternoon as after heavy rain, which continues, they have ground staff out trying to clear the pitch of standing water with brooms.
After a trip round the pitch by the ref. with a ball that didn't roll or bounce, the game was postponed. The small players would have needed arm floats.
One for those of us who have refereeing experience.... should this be a yellow card? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/55214584
If only we had players who could do that... Booked for unsportsmanlike conduct I believe - which is over the top in my opinion. There was no abuse of other players, no feigning injury, no excessive goal celebration - and I wouldn't say that what what he did actually constituted taunting. Referees appear to take no action when players do worse - such as constantly steal yards at free kicks or run 5-10 yards from the mark when taking throws - so quite why this one saw fit to wave yellow is anyone's guess.
