Could say we have a claim but probably won't win as Villa will say the result maybe would have not ended 1-0.
None of that is really any of our concern. This collection of horror stories, however... https://alloutfootball.co.uk/watford-vs-var/
From that lot, it is clear that VAR is utterly pointless. At the very least the EPL should be asked to justify the rationale for VAR given that evidence. PS - The Grealish / Mariappa incident makes me wonder whether it's time to give up altogether. It does confirm howevert hat you'd never want to be in a car accident involving a footballer.
It has confirmed my worst fears... the camel being a horse designed by committee. Referees afraid to make decisions and then afraid to contradict or step up... except against us, of course - old Mike Dean was well impressed, eh. No I haven't brought myself to watch it yet. And this season's shirts will not be worn again... the home one won't for sure.
As I have said all along VSAR cost us a minimum of 9 points and potentially up to around 15 points if we had been able to take advantage if the decisions had gone our way
Yes that is true. Doesn't always mean results would have gone our way of course but we should trust a system to be consistent and correct. Not worse than the actual on pitch officials who at lest have an excuse to miss something.
If we had got the correct VAR decisions in the first 4 games Javi probably would not have been sacked All those decisions would have been potential game changers and we could have had a good start and confidence for the players One thing it did miss out was the handball; at home to EVARton for their first goal that was a shocker
Why is there a reluctance on the part of refs. to watch replays at the side of the pitch ? Seems to me the best way is that Stockley childrens play area alert the ref, then he has his own look, and makes his own decision. I assume that the clubs must sign a contract saying he refs, decision is final - otherwise every club would be in court for loss of income etc.
Does every club have the technology installed to allow refs to do that? If not it's probably just as well - ours would be redundant for a good while...
All the Premier league clubs have screens on the side of the pitch - ours was in the Lower Rous side.
As Watford do not get a mention I have put this coffee break read on this thread. https://bylinetimes.com/2020/07/28/...goal-a-game-of-dodgy-money-foreign-influence/
