HALF-TIME Wigan 7-0 Hull Ok, so Wigan are leading Hull 7-0 at the break at the DW Stadium. No Wigan fan will have wanted that half to end no chance.
Just the 1-0 then 2nd half Always seem to be way - hardly any goals after a team scored loads in first half . Hull v Luton at the weekend !
This can be no surprise. 5 subs allowed from next season. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/12029107/five-substitutes-to-be-allowed-next-season-ifab-announces
Went on a Palace site and have to say considering this was their own player abused there actually was quite a lot of "sympathy" for the kid saying he was probably just a lad messing around giving the usual "abuse"! One even saying what a fuss over nothing - worse things happen the police don't investigate etc. Well I don't know many 12 year olds but don't think most would go around writing that sort of stuff ! Most did say he probably had it ingrained in him and just needs a ticking off. BTW apart from Luton I think they are the fans who'd want us to go down the most.
West Brom behind 1-0 at Huddersfield. They're either determined to hand Leeds the title, or give an automatic promotion spot to Brentford...
Flipping heck - the perfect chance for Brentford to slip into an automatic promotion spot and they blow it by losing at Stoke. At least Charlton managed a point to make things more difficult for Luton...
Not necessarily safe - on the assumption that Charlton will lose to Leeds, they would still have to beat or draw with Blackburn.
And now Fulham are in with a chance of gaining the automatic promotion spot, leading 3-0 against Sheff Wed. Final games on Wednesday: West Brom home to QPR, Brentford home to Barnsley Fulham away to Wigan West Brom on a poor streak - possibly need a point to pip Fulham on GD and three points to stay ahead of Brentford. It's going to be interesting to see who replaces us.
Oh no - Luton score. And a win or draw v Blackburn will probably see them safe. Charlton away to Leeds and Wigan v Fulham.
I am getting irritated by players stealing yards at a throw in. All teams do it. Also time wasting at times. How about making these activities foul throws so the opposition benefits or give the linos a foamy spray to mark where the ball went out of play (yes I see the problem with this solution).
I think Luton are safe.... Hull cannot save themselves.... and Luton end with a fairly easy home game compared with Charlton
Something different to foam? Maybe a cone boy who rushes up and down the line putting a traffic cone down where the ball goes out.
That has always irritated me. Back in my playing days in Australia, our local federation trialled a simple rule which fairly well stamped it out - the throw couldn't be taken until the linesman positioned himself where the ball went out, standing 2-3 yards back from the line to allow room for the throw to be taken. If the player taking the throw moved away from that mark, either up or down, the referee simply whistled for him to retake it. It worked well for around three seasons from memory - until the Australian governing body got wind of it and told the federation to stop as it wasn't in the official rules. Officious interfering busybodies...
