Villa have suspended their CEO and been threatened with a winding up order by HMRC for missing tax payment. They have been given a week to sort things out.
Seemed a stange loan signing really, considering he didn't seem to get anywhere near the first team - can't have impressed at all; @TorinoFC_1906 agree £6.6m fee for @SunderlandAFC midfielder Didier N'Dong. #SSN
Rashford is a very good prospect if given a chance like RLC by their clubs . Might have to move on though to get more games .
Well the opposition are a little poor but good to practise as I reckon that will be similar to the first 2 games. But I think we need a couple of goals second half to boost the confidense. I know Vardy is being heavily marked but I hoped for a little more.
No injuries. Kept shape quite well. Too many subs to judge the last 20 mins. We can get better. . Cheers Onwards and upwards
I was but I had no WiFi. Missed the first goal. Just seen it in real time. Belter. Thought that there was some good movement for the second too. Generally I am not overly keen on our possession football at the back. I felt we got away with I it a bit and better teams would punish us.
Yup made me cross my fingers a couple of times. There are times when the big boot up field, while not attractive, is the best option. But glad you saw the replay of that goal. Infact for both goals we create space and gave a great world class goal keeper no chance. I found at times our trying to pass it into the 6 yard box to intricate, and would have preferred an earlier low hard shot into the melee. I'll take goalie unsighted and an own goal as well as the clever stylish ones
No extra time in the League Cup then .. Not that it affects us too much - we lose in the 1st round in normal time ! No seedlings either .
My local club here have installed a system so that those who have problems with their sight can go to a game with a friend, and if they contact the club a couple of days beforehand letting them know their seat numbers, then earphones will be connected to a radio commentary. Probably only of use to a small number of fans, but it will make it a better trip to the games for them.
Pure genious. I'm sure it cost little but as you say will make such a difference. Reminds me of Johnners funeral when I think the head of a blind person's association said "he was our eyes" (sic). And TSM still going strong in the same vein. I'm sure it improves football as much as cricket. OFH good to hear of something good for a change
Do they have to go with a friend so that they are not directed to the match officials' changing room?
Last season there were some quite pretty lady referees in the French leagues. There were also some who you wouldn't wish to argue with.
If he is a success there it is testiment to how he looks after himself. He is the same age as Rooney!!
Sounds like FIFA are going to investigate our fans for inappropriate chanting. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44811549 Well the FA need to not worry too much given FIFA's very lax attitude to racism and the like! Or will we get fined more than the FA did for our playing wearing the wrong socks?
Tonight sees the start of the French Ligue 2 season, with my local team Chateauroux travelling to Clermont, which is one of the closer games for them. So that sees my Friday evenings taken up for the next few months. Last season was quite successful as they were spending their first season back after winning promotion. They have a very loyal travelling band of fans, about 20 of them, who turn up in all the far flung corners of the country. There is not the same away day feelings here as in England probably due to the distances involved.
