If you take a look at the PL table there are only the top six teams with a positive goal difference. It goes to show just what a difference there is between them and the rest.
Good game, apart from the diving and petty stuff. Hope Barca win, they'll be unbeaten for the season.
Commentator's curse!? Bale just slams in a great goal. (He had offered nada before and should have been sent off mind)
Despite having a man sent off in the 1st minute, Tranmere still managed to win at Wembley against Boreham Wood.
Yes - saw some of it. Wood never really got many clear chances and the winner was soft header through the goalies hands .
It was even more impressive in that the Tranmere manager had to use up all 3 substitutions before half time. Disappointing for Wood, but this has been their highest ever league position, and a day out at Wembley. Though you have to question the logic of using Wembley for a 16,000 crowd.
How many did BW take -? Hardly have more than 500 at home games and it seems those who do go have a bit of a reputation..for being nasty.
Brackley Town have reached the final of the FA Trophy and will be playing at Wembley for the first time in their history. The whole town centre is dressed out in the red and white of their colours, and there is a real buzz about the place. "We have already sold 5,000 tickets, while the normal attendance is about 1,500." Some will continue to go after this final giving the club a financial boost. I doubt that it would create this amount of interest if the game was played somewhere else.
Saw a load of them on the train this morning. Wouldn't want to have spent an afternoon near them tbh.
And then one of their fans threw a bottle at a Tranmere player and the manager seemed to be getting into a fight after the game with the Tranmere captain.. Maybe its a reputation well deserved sadly!
I'd describe Borehamwood as South Oxhey on steroids and stuck in "This is England" mode... There are nicer places around.
