Stan the man Collymore is entitled to his opinion and he might be right to say some would be put off - mainly the British ones who he thinks would do a good job but most managers want to be in a job such is their ego. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/managing-watford-like-being-pop-11895292 After all if there is one club like ours for changing managers its Forest and wasn't so long ago Steve Bruce was under pressure! Not sure Villa and Forest are great example of clubs being stable management wise over recent years. Anyway they'd get a nice pay-off from us and everyone feeling sorry for them I suspect when we do dump x manager.
Just saw it - and they said they consulted fans. Must have been Man U ones! And the Nations League has been drawn.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42803594 Poor Gareth Southgate - already got one relegation on his CV - might have another with England!
Wonder how long Phil Neville will last after his recent interview - http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/sport/phil-nevilles-guide-to-women-20180124143078 - might out do Big Sam.
Given the amount of thought that apparently went into it, I doubt 'considered' is the appropriate word. It was more a case of "Phil who? But he hasn't applied - oh what the heck, send him his contract."
Glenn Murray does have something in common with Messi then.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42809696
Spurs doing a very Spurs thing - losing to a 4th tier side. Arsenal get loads of stick but at least they have won stuff in the last few years ! Am expecting them to get something though - a replay won't be great either .
I just asked someone if they knew why West Brom fans sing the Lord is my Shepherd. Turns out it started in the 70s when they had to play a cup match on a Sunday so sang it as a joke and it stuck. Have to love football fans!
Think Man City got an introduction to the tactics Neil Warnock sometimes employs! Good manager btw - isn't afraid to let his players get stuck into the opposition.
Did anyone else watch the Ross County vs Rangers match on Sky this afternoon? In their first match after the SG was forced to scrap their Offensive Behaviour at Football Act, I think the Rangers fans confirmed everyone in Scotland's worst fears. "Up to our knees in fenian blood" "UDA all the way, f**k The Pope & The IRA" A pitch invasion by dozens that the police stood and watched. The SFA refuse to take action. And the media ignore it. It seems we now have to accept this cancer in our lives. An utter embarrassment - and one that's going to kill off more clubs as fans refuse to go to matches.
Trust me, they'll give as good as they get - a lot of knife-wielding, less than savoury characters there. The ground capacity is only 3,000. so not too many Gers will be there. It's the police I'll be feeling sorry for - they'll probably have to protect them.
Sometimes it's better to keep your own thoughts to yourself ! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42898043
So....did the results go for or against us today? Personally I think they were fair and if we can find a performance and a result on Monday it could be considered a good weekend for us
Probably couldn't have gone much better for us really. I'm looking at the positives for us - Huddersfield in total free fall, West Brom losing again. That's two of the three teams we need to finish below us - the third is anyone's guess. But we really do need a result on Monday night - and not just a draw.
https://www.football.london/chelsea...jured-chelsea-players-watford-morata-14239606 Chelsea's 'struggling injury list' - they're having a laugh aren't they? There's only four on it...
They deserve credit for some great football and goals but has there been a lot of criticism for Wolves like we got ? They have spent a load of money mainly via the ownership and partnership with agent Jorge Mendes who basically sets up deals for top Portuguese players.. Has Martin Samuel said Wolves are "bad for English football"? I suppose not as it's no different to most Premier league clubs!
