I remember Benteke took a stinker of a penalty against us last season. Should just blast it.. Some justice though as Zaha seemed to dive..again !
Yes - was thinking Liverpool were missing their 2 Brazilians but with individual moments of quality like that it doesn't matter who they rest. However they do have some daft defenders! Silly from Lovern - always risky with the way players go down these days.
Paul Clement gone..(typically just before we play Swansea!) 2nd chance for De Boer? http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ng-frank-de-boer-as-successor-to-paul-clement
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42442290 I think the FA need to pull their heads in over this - they're sending non-league Wembley FC to the wall over a trademark dispute, Wembley having the word Wembley in their club logo. Sheer nonsense.
That really is quite ridiculous. The crests look nothing like each other, the fact that it has FC shows it is a club, which the stadium isn't. The FA have got this wrong in my opinion, and it really could do with fans across the country to voice their displeasure.
Absolutely - EUIPO have basically insulted every football fan in the country, if not the world, with this - The body ruled in favour of WNSL in July, stating that the English-speaking public could confuse the club with the stadium. Utter hogwash. I challenge them to find anyone who has gone to Wembley Stadium intending to watch Wembley FC...
Sums up the FA - surely more pressing and serious matters to deal with than this fuss over nothing. Does anyone really care? Like you say we can all tell the difference!
And now - a petition to sign... https://www.change.org/p/football-a...re_ask_1.72_hour_ask&utm_content=ex43:control
A day of joy for Hawick Royal Albert fans today. They got their first points of the season with a 3-2 win against Dalbeattie Star. In the previous 15 games they had only scored five goals. They will be dancing in the streets of Hawick tonight.
That improves their goal difference to -59. I watched them play in the early rounds of the Scottish Cup - they were dire...
Strange to see Monk get sacked after a Boro win! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42468443 Although generally they have underachieved.
Not often after a game you see both mangers fired, but Carlos Carvalhal has been eased out at Sheff W as well as Gary Monk at Boro.
The way Derby are going we might see Vydra back in the Premiership next season. Hopefully our slide will not result in challenging our status this season.
Anyone else think that Charlie Austin's ban should start from when he's fit to play? The fact that he is injured makes a mockery of the punishment imo
Dave, I agree with you. I remember in the 80s, someone who had never played for the first team (I can't remember who), was sent off in a reserve match and had a 3 game ban but the length of the suspension was to be over 3 first team games. The first team had been knocked out of the FA Cup, and the reserves had 2 games a week at the time as games earlier in the season had been postponed, so he ended up missing 6 reserve games.
