You couldn't write it, no one would believe you Back to normality a massive match for our mate Sean tonight. Just hope he gets the home performance he would want. After that their next best chance comes at the weekend - away to bourgh. But if they lose both then the trap door looks very close. I hope he gets something from the two games. Will always have a very warm feeling towards him. He was almost of that GT mould - a very very nice guy. C'mon u'clarets
Had three results I wanted this mid week. Two in the bag. The 'orns and Sean got the 3 pts last night. Can Middlesbrough do us a favour and get three at Hull? Appreciated their fans at the GT game so two reasons to want them to do well. Even a draw would be great for us. I'll be watching this one. C'mon Boro.
Hmm - those six points we won look like being rather timely. Bournemouth leading at Liverpool, Swansea leading Spurs...
One of my friends who I have dinner with each month is a Boro supporter, and being of a similar age we have some great memories of the past. As neither of us is tribal we share each others joys and sorrows. When we won promotion to the PL the first message I received was from him wishing us luck. For that reason alone I hope that they do well.
Talking about bad referee decisions... Is anyone else watching the Newcastle v Burton match? I dipped in to see Newcastle convert a penalty only for the ref to disallow it & give Burton a free kick instead. Am not sure what his thinking was, and I don't think anyone else is either.
What a game!!!! And over all interesting how our 3 pts last night may look even more precious at the end of the night.
Watching SSN, it seems that no-one knows what's going on. There are 2 possibilities - either the officials (there have been discussions with the other officials, so the ref can't be completely blameless) have made a complete balls-up with the encroachment rule, or there was a foul by a Newcastle player in the build-up to the penalty spotted by the assistant and wasn't brought to the referee's attention. They have stated on SSN that the second option isn't possible having looked at the footage. Keith Stroud has already had his Wikipedia entry updated to refer to the incident!
Dave will be unhappy - Norwich have conceded 3 goals in 8 minutes in the second half against Huddersfield
Wet Spam in freefall - 3 down at Arsenal. That's 5 defeats in a row.. Palace now losing 3-1 - we're looking safer by the minute...
Swansea couldn't hang on. But still really glad of those 6 points now. And now Spurs get it. 22 goals in 6 games. Glad I tuned in.
Another late, late show for Spurs - behind for 75 minutes then 3 goals in 6 minutes. We'll have to watch out for that on Saturday.
So, Sunderland, Boro, Swansea, Hull, Palace or West Ham - I wonder which three will be sampling the delights of Fleetwood next season?
