Apologies for the bad language in this but I nearly wet myself when I saw this - of course my being the antonym of 'Rangers fan' did play a small part... To make it even more amusing, Dundee won the match in question.
Based on last night's fun and goals I'm going for: FC Porto 3 Juventus 2 Sevilla 4 Leicester 2 I wasn't going to watch tonight but last night's 5-3 has given me a real appetite I might see Sevilla vs Leicester in the bar but I live in Sevilla country so cheering any Leicester goals might be a bad move. Have to be a Jaspar Carrot "Yup" thode were the days
Well enjoyed the Leicester game. Not quite the number of goals I predicted but Poor old Leicester now need to convert that form and fight into the prem. It always strikes me as odd how the same group of players can struggle in one competition and do well in another (especially a cup compo). But if that result doesn't give them confidence I don't know what will. I watch Sevilla frequently on TV here and they are a good team with some very talented players. Comfortably third in La Liga and they can beat the best on their day. They beat Real Madrid just a few weeks back.
Well with a spurs supporter using the same bar as me I think I will have to see at least the first half of the game in the bar just to be supportive . Anyone else going to watch? I can't believe that spurs cannot turn it around (0-1 AGG) with their goal scoring power but then I didn't think they'd lose the first leg. But after two great games in two days I just hope it continues
A really nice guy from what I have seen, but I have wondered if he was getting much out of some of the players in recent months. Will they have someone lined up to take over as the season is fairly short now?
Rather sad. At least his last 45 mins was great. But I'd have thought his going gives hope to the bottom three rather than fear. But I bet we see him back in a job in Europe fairly quickly if he wants it.
Too little too late from the foxes, or they really didn“t want to sack him but felt they had to now. I am going for the latter.
Pretty predictable but timing maybe a bit odd - football owners are so ruthless these days. Got somebody line up? Spurs not having a great time at Wembley again. EDIT: Need another goal. Very impressive performance from Gladbach in Florence. Were 3-0 down in the tie and now 4-3 ahead!
The PL hasn't covered itself with glory this evening...again. Pretty sure Leicester's next manager won't win them the title. As for Dele Alli, he's a gifted player but that was a very nasty tackle.
Thought I'd go down to the bar here (about an hour from Seville) and see a bit of the Scotland vs Wales rugby. It was on a screen but another 8 screens were showing the local derby Seville vs Real Betis. The place was heaving. 1-0 Betis at half time. Think I'll go back for the second half. Always preferred Betis and no doubt they'll get the Watford game on a screen later. And Wales look they are going down.
Cracking game at Wembley ! Let's hope Southampton aren't as good next week. Think we were linked with their goalscorer.
Markthehorn for sure they fought hard. As you say let us hope that it has tired them out or it was simply the special occassion I also saw Atletico Madrid vs Barcalona. 1-2 and another great game. Briefly saw our old friend Quique smiling after his side won 3-0 against Osasuna. Although Osasuna are bottom so they should have expected a win his side are now 9th in La Liga. There seems a lot of entertaining matches at the moment. Long may it continue.
Berghuis's Feyenoord beat PSV on the week-end with the help of this 'controversial' goal - goal line technology showed that the keeper had marginally pulled the ball over the line when grabbing it. PSV players weren't impressed...
But, being players on the 'wrong' end of the decision, they did. Even though they presumably were in favour of the technology in the first place.
